Afterlife & Diynamic mainstay and one of 2021’s most exciting artists, Innellea, delivers a truly monumental remix of fellow German electronic producer Parra for Cuva and his latest single 'Her Entrance', taken from his forthcoming Juno LP, set for July this year.

Parra for Cuva’s new album Juno contains sounds from around the world yet it was almost entirely produced within the four walls of the artist’s studio in Berlin. That’s the beauty of the 21st century though, one barely has to leave a room to travel far and wide and be inspired by distant places and peoples. Juno takes this global exploration even further with the influence of seven musicians and their different instruments.

As expected, Innellea serves up exciting, forwarding thinking sonics; working the rising melody lines and Indian flute samples of the original around fizzling electronic-edged beats and a pulsating driven atmosphere of power that he brings to all his productions!

Innellea dims the warmth by adding hardcore techno and accelerated beats to the single. "My interpretation of "Her Entrance" was shaped by the desire for extensive and intense club nights. Therefore I decided to adapt the mysterious mood of the original track and to add dynamic hi-hats and driving basslines to create a dancefloor-oriented interpretation," says the producer.

Øostil is back at Renaissance…

This time we find him celebrating his Argenitne roots as he joins forces with Rêverie and Paula OS, who also hail from the South American hotbed. “I am on the road all the time these days,” says Antü, the man behind the Øostil alter-ego, “and I keep hearing all this amazing music, which is exactly how ‘Missing Robot was conceived. It’s no secret Argentina has a vibrant scene (not that I’m biased!), loaded with talent, but the Rêverie guys really impressed me, which is why I wanted to work together. It’s fun to collaborate with emerging talent; in my experience it leads to extremely exciting music.”

True to his word, the resulting track did begin life as an exciting experiment, “We produced it by kicking the digital football back and forth so I could work on it in amongst my touring, but then – once completed - weren’t sure what to do with it!”, he continues, laughing, “It turned out to be an emotive slice of electronica with a real sense of melancholy, the perfect prop for Paula’s beautiful vocal. But it certainly isn’t what you’d call a ‘peak time’ record, though does have sunset and sunrise written all over!”

After much persuading and arm-twisting on the part of Renaissance, who fell in love with ‘Missing Robot’, the team finally agreed to release it as a single and, just like that, the hunt was on for a remixer. “We all knew we had to get this right. We didn’t want to hand the track to just anyone. It had to be an artist who could convert it to 4/4 and drive toward peak time - no easy task!” says Antü.

Step forward Rodriguez Jr., who returns to Renaissance after a stellar live performance at Zamna’s April Edition and, label wise, his remix of Argy’s ‘Power Of Detachment’. Much like that reinterpretation, he delivers summer on a dancefloor. His ‘Missing Robot’ soars, taking Paula’s vocal to greater, goosebump heights.

“I’ve been closely following Øostil for the past five years as he’s been putting out a constant flow of flawless productions. He’s one of the most promising music producers of his generation. So, I was extremely excited to take on Missing Robot, which he produced with Rêverie and Paula OS, and accepted the challenging mission to turn it to a 4/4. The original is such a beautiful piece of art. My intention was to focus on original vocals and chords and emphasize the core emotion as much as possible.” – Rodriguez Jr.

Curating their second release on the newly established independent imprint TAU, the Adana Twins are keen to support the best up-and-coming talent from a saturated DJ/Producer market. The second release showcases yet another rising star; Paris-based, Romanian born - BOg.

BOg first broke onto the electronic music landscape after being signed to John Digweed’s ‘Bedrock Records’. 12-years down the line he’s released on Dixon’s Innervisions & Solomun’s Diynamic, BOg is a constant in the record bags of DJs across the globe. Drawing strong influences from bands and artists such as Depeche Mode, The Prodigy, Aphex Twin or The Chemical Brothers, BOg’s ‘Terra EP’ has an evident other-worldly feel.

Innellea returns to TAU002 this time on remix duties, remixing ‘Terra’ and further cementing his position as a core artist on TAU. The B-side remix of ‘Jahar’ comes from Mathias Schober, chosen for the Adana Twins love his sound design and aesthetic, the producer delivers a remix rounding off the solid ‘Terra’ EP.
