Regulars on Perspectives Digital over the past 2 years, Far Distance have made sizable waves with their Melodic Techno and Progressive House focused sound. Returning to the label with a two-track EP, the Spanish duo now present their new productions titled "Dangerous" and "Trance Mission".

A rising force in the underground dance scene, Far Distance have found themselves becoming in-demand producers with a slew of releases and Beatport Top 100 hits on the likes of Einmusika, Eleatics, and Dear Deer. Making their debut on Darin Epsilon's imprint in April 2021, the boys are back with a third original EP. "Dangerous" opens with a pounding beat and 16th note bass sequence that creates immediate dancefloor energy. Sizzling snare rolls and a sharp-edged synth motif soon enter the fray to powerful effect before a further metallic bassline adds a stuttered staccato feel in the second movement. A blissful breakdown of trance-infused arpeggio provides a filtered hands-in-the-air moment before a white-noise riser then drops back into the bassline-and-beat gravitas of earlier phrases. Redolent of the sound palette of its partner track, the hypnotic bassline sequence and hefty kick of "Trance Mission" lay the foundations for genre-defining melodies to then enter the fray with apposite sonic reference to the title. A static-infused breakdown with bass note and synthetic voice provide pause for breath before the track is propelled forward once more with driving synth passage, mesmerizing bass, and smooth chord progression.

Sunexplosion dives into a more melodic and dreamlike corner of Progressive House with Phantom | Starcore | Gimmick — a deep and emotional three-track release. The title track Phantom is a collaboration between Slovak producer Allex and rising Russian talent Flaist. Flaist brings a cinematic, ambient-influenced edge, while Allex delivers his signature precision and drive. Both artists create a lush, layered opener full of melodic depth. I am breathing electronic music since late 70s and that's over 45 years now. From Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Yazoo, Alphaville, Men without Hats, Nitzer Ebb, Die Krupps, Front 242, Anne Clark, Camouflage, Gary Numan, OMD, Apopytygma Berzerk and even the Commodore 64 demo & break dance scene to more contemporary Electronic music artists, I witnessed the evolution of Electronic music, which basically means I am an old fart and consider myself an authority in this music genre 😵 Currently I listen DnB almost exclusively. But I do not like to restrict myself at all, enjoying flavors like Electronica, Trance, Psytrance, Tech House, Dubstep, Deep House, Future Pop, Trap, Techno, UK Bass and of course EBM/Industrial as well.

What you will find in my likes and playlists is the top of the crop in Electronic Music, I will  absolutely not list any bullshit. A track I have not listed might be just that: Bullshit, just mediocre or an artistic gem which I haven't discovered yet.

Eklektisch is the label run by esteemed Spanish DJ and producer, Edu Imbernon. Since 2008, the label has showcased a wide range of house and tech styles from a number of established and breakthrough artists. As well as the boss himself, the likes of Coyu, Uner, David August, Solomun, Los Suruba, Henry Saiz, Rodriguez Jr and many more have released on the imprint.
