Continuing a strong summer season, Astral Records unveils the third installment of their 'Celestial' series. Continuing their highly stylized brand of melodic house and techno, the label continues to push the boundaries of this burgeoning genre, while never losing sight of the cosmic qualities that has made the sound so appealing to many. With an emphasis on melody and emotion, Astral Records follows on from the success of 2022's 'Celestial' Pt. 2 with the much anticipated third edition, featuring (in order of appearance) Vaneama, Q.U.A.K.E and HRÄG, Far Distance, Gus (MT) and 2Qimic. Based in the Netherlands, it is Vaneama who gets the release underway with 'Omit'. Although early on in his production journey, Utrecht resident Vaneama has already made his mark in the melodic house and techno community with a release via the UK's sequence music. Paired with Astral artist duo Deciduous, the trio unleashed two collaborations earlier this year to great response, setting the course for Vaneama's impending audio travelogue. Now, getting his solo career off to a great start, the rising Dutch talent makes his Astral debut with the fiery sounds of 'Omit'. Selection two and also the collection's lone collaboration comes from occasional studio partners Q.U.A.K.E and HRÄG. With a combined discography including releases via Freegrant Music, Soshal Records, and Miss Monique's Siona Records, both Q.U.A.K.E and HRÄG have achieved success in their solo careers. Having previously appeared on Astral with their 'Where to Start' EP from last year, this formidable duo now make a welcome return to the label with the enigmatic peaktime creation 'Whispers of Eternity'. Marking the collection's halfway point is Far Distance who make their label debut with 'We Believe'. With a career that spans the better part of a decade Spanish duo Far Distance have more than etched their place in electronic music's trend driven underground. The duo's amalgamation of progressive and melodic house has found a home on Einmusika, Freegrant Music, Perspectives Digital, Somatic and more; while world class DJs Lane 8, Kevin de Vries and Solomun have been regular supporters. Now, adding Astral Records to their resume, Far Distance debuts on the label with the thunderous sounds of 'We Believe'. Moving forward to selection four it is Gus (MT) who makes his label debut with 'Time Machine'. First emerging in 2020, Maltese artist Gus (MT) began his production project out of a great passion for music. Dedicated to telling stories of the dark and mysterious, his releases via Frequenza, Steyoyoke, and Miss Monique's Siona Records highlight his meticulous discography. Continuing on an upwards trajectory as we enter into 2023's second half, Gus (MT) now makes his Astral Records debut with a unique blend of acid and melody that is 'Time Machine'. The release concludes with 2Qimic making their label debut with 'Fhinta'. Composed of Spanish producers Alberto Sainz and Esteban Albacete, 2Qimic have been fixtures of the electronic underground for well over two decades. PREMIERE : Q.U.A.K.E, HRÄG - Whispers of Eternity (Original Mix) [Astral Records]

With 'Fire in Me' we welcome Innėr Sense to ICONYC in collaboration with vocalist Dana Barbara. The duo delivers a slice of warm, pulsating club vibes. The original track kicks things off with its melancholic moodiness shining through as we meander effortlessly through club inspired melodies, while the sultry bassline and Dana's vocals sit wonderfully on top, adding an extra layer of depth and class. The duo mean business and it is evident with every step of the way. Essential stuff!

On remix duty we welcome Stone Van Brooken for his debut on ICONYC with a thumping remix for the ages. The French producer who is known for his driving melodic techno influenced sounds, keeps the ethereal theme of the original alive. It's all about the groove, cool melodic vibes and the deep driving beats that are working their magic around Stone's wonderfully arranged keys and the wonderful use of elements on offer.

The second remix comes courtesy of Octavio Gimenez. His unique act and emotional creations carry quite a large scope. He is not afraid to explore esoteric or introspective themes and the end result is always a compelling one. Such is the case with his remix of 'Fire in Me', which carries many of his loved production hallmarks. From a warm, meaty low end to icy atmospherics and an effects storyboard to get lost in, there is certainly a lot to like. The main break is perhaps the high point, with the mood shifting from emotive to ominous with effortless ease.

Inner Sense feat. Dana Barbara really show that there're no boundaries, as this beautiful gem guides you to a full-on club laden, melodic hug of a release that will cause many smiles induced moments! Mudra brings its first ever release with the mighty  Serbian star  ”Space Motion” with his astonishing  2024 remake of his own classic “Requiem for a Dream”. 

Mudra is a Sanskrit term that means  "gesture" or "attitude." Psychic, emotional, spiritual, and artistic hand gestures or attitudes are all examples of mudras. Mudras were characterized by ancient yogis as energy-flowing postures meant to connect individual pranic force with universal or cosmic force. 

For our first ever release we bring the 2024 remake of Space Motion’s “Requiem for a Dream”. 

Previously release in 2018 , Space Motion remakes  the mixdown , elements, textures and mastering of this cover classic of one of the most emblematic film scores in the history of cinema: Requiem for a Dream. 

With support from the likes of Solomun, Tale of Us, Magdalena and more, this amazing tribal drum re-work of “Requiem for a Dream” brings hypnotic arpeggios and obscure atmospheres. With this in mind, Space motion is able to re-create the film score in such an organic way that it seems that the original soundtrack was made to fit perfectly on this beats.
