Hindsight - 2020

KUBA delivers an expertly crafted fusion of psychedelic dub, lush instrumentation, and eastern-influenced ambiance on his next highly anticipated full-length studio album ‘Relative To The Sun’. Including collaborations with legendary producer Youth, sonic dub-reggae pioneer Gaudi, the beautifully spellbinding vocals of Michele Adamson (of Shpongle) and globally renown vocalists Rizwan and Muazzam Khan (nephews of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and founders of the Rizwan-Muazzam Qawwali Group),
the result is an eloquent blend of genres, rhythms, and a complex backdrop of intricate sound design.
Kuba’s signature dub-laden soundscapes are reminiscent of the quintessential essence of nostalgic Liquid Sound Design releases, yet still maintain a bespoke, unique aesthetic all their own.
With ‘Relative To The Sun’, Kuba once again demonstrates his ability to consistently evolve as a musician, captivate his audience, and remains one of the leading downtempo electronic musicians of our time.

@pablo-bolivar ’s remix of Tamanaku transforms Kora & Reg Ina’s journey into a mesmerizing dancefloor experience. We’re honoured to welcome Pablo to Saisons, having long admired his deeply emotive and textured sound.

The Spanish maestro brings his signature warmth, hypnotic basslines, and refined detail to the track, while preserving the original’s connection to nature’s rhythms. The result is a powerful sonic experience that flows from introspective moments to peak-time energy, resonating beautifully on both intimate and expansive systems.

Originally featured on Kora’s Azimuth Nord album, Tamanaku explores a shared journey through natural alignment and rhythm. Reg Ina later brought a new dimension to the track with her captivating vocal mix. Now, Pablo Bolivar reimagines it with his sophisticated, immersive style — bridging Kora’s organic soundscapes with his own celebrated touch, known from releases on Desolat, Culprit, and his Seven Villas imprint.

THE WATERS PATH

It’s been 600 days since my last song; Yelema Riddim. Since then, I’ve overthought almost every form of original music I was making. Nothing sounded good enough, authentic enough or in line with who I aim to be as an artist.

In this period I felt like I needed to create a barrier between my club music and the music I make with the intention to just be stuff you’d like to listen to at any given moment of the day. It’s almost ironic because this way of thinking is the opposite how I am as a DJ. Perfectionism took over 90% of the time which made music making so much harder and less fun.

For the first time since I started making music I felt pressure and anxiety going forward. In a way I might’ve directed that energy towards the 6 edits I released in this period of time, including the Sade, Cleo Sol & Kendrick one. Making those felt more natural in a weird way. This period was all about healing and I’ve done just that. 🙂‍↕️

So now is the time to let go of the music I’ve been making for the past 1,5 years! We’re starting off with my new record: “Tree’s Root”. This one breathes summer and warmth. I hope you enjoy it as much as I loved making it.
