For the new year, I'm switching over to a new format where I drop a new radio show every two months, a full hour of uninterrupted tracks ranging from amapiano to hip-hop to jazz to old school mashies. For this first episode of the year, I'd like to hit on the theme of light. Lightness through the motions we make in this chaotic world. Light as it shines through our everyday interactions, our work, our family. Light as it illuminates the next chapter, guiding if only viewed through past missteps but still pulling us forward like a string across time and space. Poem is by Dylan Thomas in memory of his dying father, as he encourages him to cling to life for as long as he can, even though death is inevitable. We shouldn't just give up even when the universe is against us. We should keep fighting until the very end.

Radio Show 1: Light

When meditating, it's best to do it with a personal mantra. This helps quiet those distracting thoughts and makes room for that fleeting impasse moment — space for reflection and creativity. A better mindset and solution may reveal itself. Because you've given it room for growth. Sometimes the best way to engage is to disengage.
