Conceived as an ecotonal space where the multiple sonic reinterpretations of the composition can converge, we are pleased to present the first compilation of EKŌ, a platform inspired by the essence of the spatial and acoustic propagation of rhythmic and experimental phenomena. Which seeks to share through this selection different ideas and creative sensibilities around experimental dancefloor. Where it is sought that, through the value of sharing in equitable and diverse ways, it is motivated to generate changing, thinking and sensitive spaces from, to and with what happens in the world and on the dance floor.

EKŌ baste together and puts in dialogue the personal universes of each creator in this compilation, also as a presentation of what EKŌ is and intends to generate, allowing us to access those meeting points that occur beyond the physical.

To celebrate Grid 2nd anniversary, we gathered together thirteen earth-shattering tracks from the bass scene’s most promising creators, all aimed to move you in the most primordial way. Evoking images of vast landscapes and deep underground catacombs.

This compilation takes the listener deep into the earth with twisted percussion workouts from the likes of Jabes, Piezo, Ronan and Sister Zo… and back into the light with serene compositions from E-unity, Tammo Hesselink and A Psychic Yes, whilst Jay Duncan, Basile3 y Clara!, Jonny From Space, Flaty, Seekersinternational, and blu-e join the dots with their genre-defying creations.

Good morning City 54

The current time is 5:30 AM, Asrton 3, 97 PDE. The forecast remains much the same, with sun shielding expected to last the following 6 cycles. Traffic on the innerrails is minimal but a rush is expected at shift change due to the necessary increase of 3rd shift workers to compensate for the increase of molecular nitrogen caused by the expedited construction of living blocks 27, 34 and 35. Please be advised, atmosphere protection is mandatory for those spending more than 15 minutes unsheltered and younglings are forbidden from unsheltered travel. Temperatures will be steady at 338K and the winds have yet to return but are predicted near the middle of in the following cycle stage.

In City news, Chancellor Eredon has promised to investigate the rash of terminations in Blocks 2 and 3 and continues negations with City 533 over land exchanges to provide more osmosis hydration in the outer blocks. However, City 53 representatives say progress is unlikely to be made until the capturing of Minister Dimhold’s 2nd youngling is properly investigated. City 54 has no comment on the matter and cites the previous investigation’s findings.

In Earth news, the building of a new outerrail link between City 1 and 32 will begin shortly, following the suppression of the Mechanics who continued sabotaging surveying efforts in the barrens between City 1 and 32. Construction chancellor ErShi says “progress will not be stopped by those who seek to thwart the improvement of billions of lives”. However, rumors that many more low dwellers than initially thought to be involved have been reported as disappeared leading some to openly speculate that ErShi’s militance has been involved. This terminal can not confirm these allegations.

In more Earth news, new stores of cesium have been found outside City 43. The explorative mission to uncover more of this essential element for the construction of more transport vessels has been long-awaited. Digging at a never before reached depths, the crews encountered numerous earthquakes one of which led to the destruction of northern City 43. Transport of these cesium stores will commence in the coming cycle.

In off-Earth news, Vessel 934IJ6 has regained contact with Earth after a break in communications. Vessel 934IJ6 was the 4th colonizer mission to the TRAPPIST-1 system and the first to return. The craft was returning from the Aquarius constellation where colonization efforts are ongoing. Chancellor Arroway has been limited in her reports on the communications disruption and the success of the missions but has affirmed that contact with the colonies remains positive. Volunteers for colonization can report to their nearest TR-1 office. Only classes 3 and above are eligible for colonization.
