Alles fing am 17. Mai 2013 um 19:44 am Bozner Zugbahnhof an, als ich auf den Zug nach Innsbruck wartete. Ich hatte dort einen Auftritt im Queens Club, denn an diesem Tag fand die Mental Drop Records Label Night statt... das Label in dem ich heute bin. Als ich so wartete kam ein Freund von mir namens Fabian, der auch unterwegs nach Innsbruck war. Wir unterhielten uns ein bisschen bevor der Zug kam und dann wenige Minuten später kam ein Mädchen zu uns. Sie erkannte Fabian, weshalb sie zu uns kam. Ich habe sie noch nie zu vor gesehen. Ihr Name war Melanie.

Nach dem wir im Zug saßen haben ich und Melanie nicht sehr viel miteinander geredet, doch als wir in Innsbruck ankamen mussten wir uns kurz verabschieden, da ich gleich nach der Ankunft in Innsbruck zur Party ging und Melanie noch zu ein paar Freunden. Ich wusste nicht wieso aber sie ging mir die ganze Zeit nicht aus dem Kopf. Heute weiß ich, dass ich ihr ein bisschen gefehlt habe nach dem wir uns verabschiedet haben obwohl wir uns gar nicht kannten. Nach dem ich meinen Auftritt hatte habe ich mich noch mit einem Artisten dort unterhalten und kurz darauf kam Melanie zu mir. Ich sah zum Gang als hätte ich gewusst, dass sie jetzt kommen würde und als dies auch geschah kam sie mit einem so wunderschönem Lächeln, dass in mir tief drinnen etwas passierte. Ich war von ihr verzaubert. Ich kann dieses Gefühl nicht in Worte fassen.
Wir waren die ganze Party lang nur miteinander.
Danach chattet wir fast jeden Tag, jede Stunde, solange bis wir schlafen gingen.

Irgendwann haben wir uns dann mal getroffen.
Wir lagen auf einer Wiese bis spät Nachmittags.
Wir haben viel geredet, viel gelacht und viel rumgealbert.
Wir hielten uns in den Armen.
Schauten uns tief in die Augen und dann...
unser erster Kuss.
Wir waren verliebt.

Im Verlaufe des Sommers waren wir unzertrennlich. Es gab nur uns Beide. Jeden Tag. Jede Stunde.
Bis der Tag kam an dem sie nach Berlin zog.
Ich habe sie zum Zug begleitet. Als der Zug ab fuhr war ich am Boden zerstört... weil sie von einem Tag auf den anderen so weit entfernt von mir war.
Ich war glücklich, weil sie ihren Traum nach Berlin zu ziehen erfüllen wollte aber auch traurig, dass ich nicht bei ihr sein konnte.
Ich vermisste alles an ihr. Nicht nur die guten sondern auch die schlechten Seiten an ihr.
Aber was ich vor allem vermisst habe war die Wärme die sie mir auch heute noch gibt.
Ich kann es nicht beschreiben wie sich diese Wärme anfühlt, wenn sie mich berührt, wenn wir uns umarmen, wenn wir uns küssen.
Es ist wunderschön.
Mir wird immer warm ums Herz.

Eines Tages an einem Freitag kam ich ganz normal aus der Schule nach Hause. Ich ging in mein Zimmer und setzte mich auf meinen Stuhl.
Ich vermisste sie wie an dem Tag als ich sie wegfahren lies aber dann...
Es klingelte an der Tür und meine Mutter machte die Haustür auf. Es war still.
Jemand kam in mein Zimmer. Ich dachte mir: "Das kann nicht wahr sein!"
War es aber...
Melanie kam aus Berlin zurück um mich zu überraschen.
Ich stürmte zu ihr und umarmte sie wie ich sie noch nie umarmt habe. Ich war überglücklich.

Dieser Moment zeigte, dass wir unzertrennlich sind.

Zusammen sind wir ganz.

Ich denke noch heute an diese Momente als wären sie erst gestern passiert.
Sie ist das Beste das mir je passiert ist und sie schenkt mir heute noch unvergessliche Momente und zeigt mir immer wieder wie viel ich ihr bedeute.

This is my set from Friday evening at the legendary Wild Horses Festival last December.
It was such a wicked party, and a massive honor to play there. The guys behind the Festival are deadset legends which is a massive part of why the crowd there every edition is absolutely beautiful. So nice to see all the doof family all in one place again. So big love to you guys for another killer edition.
I had a ball prepping and playing this on a phat stack of Function Ones which beat the dust up off the ground and blew the cobwebs off to get into the weekend.
I'm loving the bushtech sound at the moment so I put together a few of my favourites for this one, Be sure to check out some of these wicked producers from around the globe.

Biography:

Ektoside is a solo project created by Mirko Mlinarevic, originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina and currently living in Berlin, Germany.

He is one of the most young talented acts to emerge on the global trance scene since 2011 with releases on labels such as Mental Drop Records, Goa Records, Parabola Music, Digital Nature Records, Binary Audio Machinery and Reson8 Music.

Mirko has gone to psytrance events since the age of 17 and he was so fascinated by the music and the events that he began to produce his own psytrance sound and Ektoside was born.

Ektosides explosive tracks are filled to the max with powerful psychedelic grooves, fat and crunchy basslines, deep and strong feelings, intricate musical elements, masterfully structured track flow and true trance vibe with carefully structured psychedelic elements, bearing the unique sonic signature of this talented producer.

His music spread quickly and soon many organizers were aware of him and he began being booked at countless events in Europe with artists like: Egorythmia, Neelix, Protonica, Elegy, Dual Vision, Timeless, Solaris Vibe, Cubixx, Electric Universe, Vertical Mode and many others.
