Ekzetao hails from Loveland, Colorado. The identical twin brothers formed the band in 2009 when the name, "Ekzetao" struck a chord in their hearts. The meaning of the name comes from the Greek word "Ekzeteo"....which means that life is like an endless searching out for happiness and purpose. Funded by federal grants left over from college, the duo set out to record a three-song E.P. to show the world what they could do. "Heartstrings," the dance beat, revenge-love song, "Battlefield," the fast-paced hard rock song leading into a sick breakdown, and "Die Tonight" the song exploring the writer's spiritual past and present; all make the core of who this band is. They strongly desire to write honest, powerful music that regular everyday people can relate and connect to. The two are scheduled to record more songs in January, completing their album.
