Alquimia is the first sessions I recorded while traveling through latin america. It’s a momentum of so many influences, experiences and energies. Especially Tulum had a big impact on this journey. The cleansing smell of the copal, the colour of the turquoise carribean beach, the powerful mayan vortex - all of them are woven in the sound of Alquimia.

Alquimia – a word of wisdom and knowing. How do we come to a knowing? When are we ready to receive wisdom? Especially with this podcast I want to share that sometimes it doesn’t flow at all. I tried to bring my favourite songs in a special order together but the flow wasn’t how I like it. I tried and tried and tried, almost the whole day I tried to find a solution and at the end it was impossible. Then I had to take the decision of letting go… enjoyed the rest of the night and opened myself for the momentum. It wasn’t the right time to produce a set. Next day the magic of knowing happened. Within 2 hours I created this beautiful journey without any troubles. It was just pure flow, pure guidance, pure alquimia of sound. I am so grateful to experience, that sometimes, we have to be patient, to let go, to open ourselves for the greater wisdom. When we and the time is ready we receive the knowing of selection for the right things in the right moment, to have an understanding of the whole situation, ingridients and details. To be able to hold a space and create something magical - this is what alquimia is about.

N Λ T U R R I T U awakens the memory and knowledge of our inherent nature. Connected by the organic, indigenous-inspired sound of medicine music, the gate opens to the infinite expanse of > the being <. A journey through love, gratitude, wisdom and silence. Every movement, every word, every experience becomes a healing ritual that adapts to the universal rhythm. The ritual is our nature and nature is our ritual.

This one has been in the works for a while but didn't actually make it out in 2021 but hey, what does the month or even the year matter anymore? This is a series for what was and well, 2021 -2022 has been pretty wild for the world (aren't they all lately?), oscillating between hope and heartbreak. This mix somehow tries to capture that. 

I would like to say a big thank you to all the people that shared music they found beautiful, quite a few tracks made it into this mix, as always in new contexts, different speeds, pitches and carefully folded with another track. Thank you for listening

In case you wondered, the art is a beautiful woodcut by Ukrainian-American artist Jacques Hnizdovsky (https://hnizdovsky.gallery). Hnizdovsky fled Ukraine in 1929 as a fourteen-year-old and spent most of his life in the US, becoming known for his woodcuts which often depicted flora and fauna, inspired by hours spent watching the animals at the Bronx zoo and Botanical Garden.

2017 Mix (Cosmo-vision)

For this episode, we are delighted to present you an original mix created for us by that extraordinary producer known as El Búho. His ability to blend natural tones and traditional South American motifs with electronic beat grew along the past 9 years and is now renowned. The resulting music creates magical soundscapes, it feels like having a night walk in a forest, the air is filled with the buzz of the creatures swarming around, fireflies sparkle in the dark. Although El Búho’s acoustics are painted in vivid colours, this mix is inspired by Winter. It all begun on a cloudy day in one of those “hobbit-esque” villages in Northern England. You can imagine him sitting by the window, watching the clouds being pushed on by the wind, while the fire burns slow in the stove. There, the artist found inspiration and recorded many of the impressions that we can now listen to on this beautiful mix. The rain tapping on the ground, jackdaws cawing, crunchy leaves being caressed by the wind… Those organic sounds, so familiar and yet so ethereal, they free your mind and might let you fly to imaginary locations. They're able to evoke bygone memories or make us dream of new places to explore. From there, the mix develops along the Winter and welcomes the upcoming Spring. So now open your heart, feel this delicate sound touching it and unleash your imagination to let your mind travel to your own peaceful place.
