Gallic cynosure Agoria debuts on the Hotflush roster with ‘Hélice’ – a compelling, propelling record that envelopes and encompasses. Blending an ambience of eerie sci-fi over suspense-laden peaks and troughs, it goes after body and mind in equal measure.

Its B-side counterpart is  ‘Make It Real’, a jacking house number cut through with a classic Rhodes bounce. The latent garage disposition is brought to the fore by ESS, whose remix nods to the East Coast glory days of yore.

Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

The large room was full of people. One of the girls in yellow was playing the piano and beside her stood a tall,
red haired young lady from a famous chorus, engaged in song. She had drunk a quantity of champagne and during
the course of her song she had decided ineptly that everything was very very sad—she was not only singing, she wasweeping too. Whenever there was a pause in the song she filled it with gasping broken sobs and then took up the lyric again in a quavering soprano. The tears coursed down her cheeks—not freely, however, for when they came into contact with her heavily beaded eyelashes they assumed an inky color, and pursued the rest of their way in slow black rivulets. A humorous suggestion was made that she sing the notes on her face whereupon she threw up her hands, sank into a chair and went off into a deep vinous sleep. “She had a fight with a man who says he’s her husband” explained a girl at my elbow. “And why that?” I asked. “She's in love with the new SHANGO RECORDS single by CharliEM. Two great originals tracks and some top class remixes by HOLED COIN, RODRIGO GALLARDO and KURUP. She cannot stop listening to it everyday” she answered. “And what this have to do with her husband?” I asked again curiously. “Aaah. Nothing special. She's in love with the original tracks but she prefers the remixes”.
