On the original version of this song, available on the  "Strawb - By The Seaside " album, there's a Wompy noise that starts, then drives the track.
That was the sound of me removing the microphone cover after a Long Time Away from Singing.
I'd kinda given up at the end of 2011. Had a pile of "Some of The Best of STRAWB" Cds sitting in a box. Still have. Felt pretty damn low in life. bit of a joke. So i grew a moustache out of self loathing. When youve been Alone as long as i have you start to not Care. If i'm a joke, might as well look like one, hence the moustache.
Then another crap christmas followed by New Years Eve in A&E with my Dad for 8 hours. He lived and still does. Thankfully.
Then came the chorous for what was to become "Love song 4 The SONG" and i went back to my studio. (More of this story of the 1st Test DEMO page, further down the list of songs!)
1st song done, i returned to one of my best unfinished songs "HOME" and finished it. Then got out "My body Needs an M.O.T." that had been sitting waiting to be Begun for a few years. I'd started it AGES ago but my guitarist gave me SO MUCH GUITAR to go through and edit out the bits i needed that i gave up.
This time round i structured the song. Then went back and found the right parts for the job! thanks Steve.
Add to that a cover version of "Never Never" and i had the fullness of an album ready for INTERNET release. "By The Seaside" available in i-tunes Amazon, CD Baby etc. under the name of STRAWB. not "EL Strawb!"
Once that was out i needed a single and my next door neighbour mentioned he Makes Videos... The rest is history and hard work.
Mre videos followed. Then a Return to LIVE performance with NO reliance on musicians. Just a (hated) i-pod. New album "Future Retro" and now a forthcoming album "TURKEY TUNES" with a Re-make of "Love Song 4 The SONG" as a closing track and new single.
And that's where this song began. From desolation and the removal of my microphone cover. One last thing. The "boom booms" are Me. I was gonna sample George Kranz "Din Da Da" but thought, Naaah Nah! 
And the moustache got shaved off long time ago now, having  served me well. I loved it dearly for all it did for me. It's safely stored, ready for Auction at a later date!

Okay, fine, but what's with the white fluffy animals on the cover?

"The sleeve is a very very English thing. The Pink Floyd album ATOM HEART MOTHER, do you know that album? The sleeve with the cow's head on it? That's a very English thing and it has the vibe of the rave scene over here. When we're having the big Orbital raves out in the country, and you're dancing all night and then the sun would come up in the morning, and then you'd be surrounded by this English rural countryside ... so we wanted something that kind of reflected that, that feeling the day after the rave, that's what we wanted the music for.

"So when we went to the photo-library, we had a copy of ATOM HEART MOTHER under our arms, and we went in: 'Okay, we want a picture of sheep, like this.' They didn't have any pictures of sheep that were like the cover of ATOM HEART MOTHER, but they had these other pictures of sheep ... hundreds, thousands of pictures of sheep, and we picked the ones we used because it had that same sort of feeling."
