My Naviar Haiku

This is the first movement of four in From the Bottom of a Well (Från botten av en brunn) based on Haruki Murakami's novel Kafka on the Shore. The the sounds were designed from, and the music was written from a grounded theory analysis of the book. The piece was performed on the 16th of December 2021 by Robert Ek, clarinet; Kevin Kirs Verstege, cello; and Rikard Vilhelm Lindell, eurorack at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. SEIZURES - Stars Collide

There was but one instruction for this week's Disquiet Junto:

"There is one step to this project: Interpret the above photo as if it were a waveform."

I opted to go for a mood that fits the photograph, in terms of the silhouette of the trees, which look like a waveform amplitude, as well as the beautifully serene reflections in the water, using various sounds from the Aalto and Kaivo modular synth plug-ins plus my own guitar playing and selected weird sounds.
