This is so interestings, seems like it comes from the past and yet it has innovative sounds of today. Fascinating surreal, dreamy, suspenseful, eerie washes of sound that complement that fantastic voice.

When it started to fade, I felt a bit addicted already. The lo-fi-ishness at the beginning was so edgy that I almost wanted to check whether my speakers have broken. But then I got mesmerized and hypnotised. Magic sounds here.

BACK TO THE SPACESHIP

Slope Forms II unites totally different styles and artists. The compilation of five tracks is opened by R.Hz with ‘Flare’, which introduces us to a disturbing and deep atmosphere whipped by flashing chords. With 'Mountainrock', Biodub takes us out of the depths and takes us into an absorbent acoustic landscape full of sound nuances. In ‘Sleep Fight’, Ekodust weaves a complex and sinuous harmonic structure in crescendo, with a constant struggle between different sounds. Upwellings, with ’Last Seed’, presents us with a powerful bass and thick chords, constantly hammering our ears and inviting us to dance. The Insulance compilation closes with ‘Run’, a song where the percussion proposes a fast and sharp rhythm that sucks the energy out of us until we are exhausted. All songs have been mastered by Pheek.

Her repertoire includes influences from Latin American music such as Bossa Nova and Samba, Jazz and Jazz Fusion, Soundtrack, Soul, Disco, but also Pop and other contemporary light music. She has released numerous tracks, albums and playlists as Elaine Katoy, but also under other names and in various projects, which can be found on platforms such as Soundcloud, Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Amazon Music and Tidal. 

Elaine has also performed live as well as DJ sets in several Clubs across Europe, including Sugar Sea (Ibiza, San Antonio), Tiefenrausch (Germany, Cologne), U60311/U-Bar (Germany, Frankfurt am Main) or MS Connexion (Germany, Mannheim) as well as DJ Sets at some german radio stations, including HR3 and Radio X.
