Part of the 2021 "feathers & wax (the Mayfly album)" scheduled for release in May 2021. Inspired by an interesting conversation I had with a woman on the shore of Percy Priest Lake when COVID-19 was first starting to impact the US. It's a song about questioning your own reality and being brave in the face of destruction.

More of a lullaby than a pop ballad or rock anthem -- "starry eyes" deters from the rest of "feathers & wax (the Mayfly album)," with a celestial, airy sound in triple time (a waltz).

Mastered, studio piano & vocal version of original song, "Extraterrestrial" coming soon... But just for kicks I released a retro and nostalgic Midi version as an homage to the original Final Fantasy VII, and the inspiration for my stage-name. I can relate to Aeris (also known as Aerith), on a profound level like no character I've ever known. Even more so as of late.
