In the Big City

A free verse rap I wrote 10 years ago. I recorded it over a sample way before I started producing my own beats so when I tried to upload it to SoundCloud years ago it got flagged. (that's one of the reasons I started making my own beats. Lls.)I was listening to a few of my beats the other day and decided to breathe some life back into it. Lls. I hope you enjoy the recorded and remastered verses over one of my favorite instrumentals of this year, so far. It was titled Ego so I just kept the title.

"Kryptonite" is a potent piece of electronic music that tugs at the heartstrings, echoing the bittersweet allure of vulnerability. The track deftly combines haunting piano refrains and angelic vocalizations with a powerful dubstep beat, creating an irresistible paradox of strength and fragility.

From its opening notes, "Kryptonite" pulls listeners in with its delicate piano melodies, akin to a siren's call, luring you into its melodic embrace. The angelic vocals weave an ethereal tapestry of sound, their celestial harmony hinting at the divine, the untouchable, the beautifully painful.

Just when you're entranced by this serene soundscape, the track takes a dramatic turn. The calm before the storm breaks into a seismic dubstep beat, an unexpected yet brilliant juxtaposition that sends a jolt of energy coursing through the veins. It's as if the song isn't just heard, but felt in every fiber, shaking the listener to their core.

"Kryptonite" is a musical paradox, embodying our most profound weaknesses and turning them into an overwhelming auditory experience. It makes listeners confront their frailties, not as something to shy away from, but as an essential part of their being. It's a track that dares to reveal the beauty in vulnerability, a sonic journey that leaves listeners exhilarated, exposed, and irrevocably drawn to its mesmerizing pull.

Kryptonite

The story here is a common one. You're not in a good mood and your partner is just being extra clingy for no reason. You're not really annoyed with them but you can't hide your irritation with the day and you end up lashing out!! "Why are you so close to me?! Get off me, moe. You're smothering me!!!" They look at you in shock and a single tear begins to form as they whisper, "I was just tryna be closer to you....asshole." Now you gotta spend the next 16hrs trying to "fix" things and remind them that yes.....You'd still love them if they were a worm.
