Elaine Kristal Colon, is a singer and songwriter from Staten Island, NY. This undiscovered powerful and soulful vocalist has loved music since a very early age, participating in school plays at her elementary school and singing in the hallways of her high school wearing a bandana and hoop earrings, inspired by Alicia Keys, who has been an incredible inspiration in her life and music. 

Her Puerto Rican roots gave her a tune to music that she could not deny, being introduced to latin artists such as Selena and the sounds of Janet Jackson, Blackstreet, and Prince by her father, she grew to love the sound of music and the feelings it gave her. Elaine’s voice offers a healing component, striking a harmonious balance between soothing and fierce, pacifying yet rousing that you can’t get enough of when she sings. 
Writing her first song at 13 years old and then having her first studio experience at 16 years old, she knew this is what she was born to do. Influenced by Usher, Brandy, Aaliyah, Justin Timberlake, and Def Poetry Jam performances, Elaine’s music possesses a classic-R&B quality infused with a modern bounce, crafted by a sensual individuality that shines through in every aspect of her personality.

Her love of poetry has shaped her music to be one that people can relate to on a deeper level than many other musicians. She started performing her music with one of her best friends, Mikey Fuego when they wrote a song together and decided to perform it at an open mic. To their surprise people loved it and wanted more, she started going every week, realizing people were coming to just see her perform and learning the lyrics to her songs until one day she was performing and the whole place started singing her song. “It’s a high I will never forget, and one I want to have for the rest of my life” she shares.

It’s been a journey for this vocalist from NY, always living with her “fall down 8 times get up 9” mantra Elaine is no stranger to adversity but she has learned that being grateful for everything she has, has been the key to more opportunities opening up her path to success “it’s a learning process” but never one she gets tired of when talking about her career. She is now signed with X Records Inc, an independent label in New York City, and a lot of exciting things are in store “I can’t wait to show the world my music” as she will be releasing more music than ever before.
