I Can't Let you Go is Elaka's promo single, a taster for her fans and a lead up to her debut single titled "My Africa" due for release at the end of August early September. I Can't Let You Go is a literal translation of how even when a relationship is over, the heart can never really let go immediately. The song describes the different levels of thought and feelings that an individual goes through at the time of a break up. It explores on questions you would ask yourself and your ex whilst trying to understand the cause of the breakup. The single is a catchy easy listen song that focuses on telling the story of love lost, you will find yourself bopping to the subtle dance beat whilst reciting the contagious chorus.

Elaka brings you brand new music for 2012, with her debut single “My Africa” already receiving rave reviews from critics and has proved popular in the Big Brother Africa house. A song that was inspired by the Drop Leaf Rhythm, the lyrics pay homage to not only Africa but to anyone in the world that has had to live far from home to pursue their dreams or make a living to help their family. “My Africa” was produced by DR. Gary Hutchins who is a music industry veteran, who has worked with the greats such as Bob Marley, Liza Minnelli, Frank Sinatra just to name a few.

The creative pioneer has certainly captured the hearts of many as it is clear that there are no limits to the talent that she exudes. With yet another collaboration with legendary producer Dr Gary Hutchins on ‘Osanidoba’; Elaka experiments with some hard hitting drums and up tempo rhythm that will get you shaking on the dance floor. Having added a mixture of her native languages Nyanja, and Bemba with English, Elaka gives the song that extra flavour that automatically separates it from the rest.

She has also had performed at various Zambian independence shows in London on the same stage as artists like Danny, JK, K’million, Petersen, Ozzy and many more. Elaka has also co-written a song with Labrinth as part of the Urban Development Vocal Collective prior to his record deal with SYCO Entertainment, and is currently working on her début album set for European release and promo with music veteran Dr. Gary Hutchins PHD a platinum and gold selling Musician and Producer who has worked with legends such as Bob Marley, Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli, Shirley Bassey just to name a few. She is also collaborating with Achilles Productions who has worked with several UK talent and produced for MTV Greece.
