3 brand new & exclusive tracks recorded by Anton Newcombe in is his studio in August 2014 after the band’s successful European tour . The digital download version contains a extra track . This album brings the traditional  Brian Jonestown Massacre sound mixed with eastern influences &  bringing it up to date with the benefit of all the additional weirdness that's been discovered in the past 40 years. Two dozen band members later and numerous “ups and downs” (some have been famously sensationalized in the media ), the one thing that has always remained consistent for this psychedelic collective, is front man Mr. Anton Alfred Newcombe.

Groove-drones and jangle freakouts. 12 strings and 60s organs. Jiving rhythms and gazey fuzz-tones. The Grease Arrestor are the Sydney 5 piece dedicated to bringing you the very best of sounds you know and L.O.V.E.

The group’s second album, Volume Two is described as a pastiche of different ideas and influences, including the 60s golden era and elements of 90s movements, blended with their signature drone and fuzz groove combination. Their hit single, “Come Together” is an all encompassing conglomeration of these different sounds and stands out as their rave-up anthem for the album. It’s basically a non-stop psychotic freak-out!

The Grease Arrestor’s first full release, What Was, Is (Jan 2014) was a symbolic sign off on some of their earliest material and uncovered a glimpse of their sonic palette. On Volume Two, they’ve delved much deeper into those themes and have finessed new recording and production techniques. The use of tape saturation, various forms of analog and digital reverberation and pre-amp coloration are inherent throughout the album. The group believe in utilising their own unique production methods as an instrumental tool. They’ve stayed true to their DIY ethos and handle everything from writing, recording and producing their music, to designing their artwork.

The mid-afternoon ambient sounds of Udaipur, in Rajasthan.

In the foreground a bird calls intermittently while in the middle distance somebody is practicing the sarangi.  Further in the background, devotional singing and prayer can be heard while the general rumble of activity in the old quarter of the city pervades the outer reaches of this recording.

Recorded from the roof of a guest house (see photo) located near the ghats at the northern end of Lake Pichola, between the City Palace Museum and the Jagdish Temple.

Afternoon Sounds In Udaipur, India, 1995

Ela Orleans is a Polish musician and vocalist who’s currently a PhD student at the University of Glasgow’s Department of Music. Since first moving to Scotland in 1997 Orleans’s music and film work has darted between Warsaw, New York City and Glasgow. She’s written and released music as part of the bands Hassle Hound and Jackie-O Motherfucker, collaborated with Scottish indie favourites The Pastels and Australian noise avant Oren Ambarchi, composed soundtracks for gallery installations and feature-length fictional and documentary film, and has been part of several mentor-based film composition programmes in the UK, US and Europe, including the Warsaw Chamber Opera, Electroacoustic Music in Sweden and The New York Foundation for the Arts. When it come to solo material, she’s released over a dozen albums and EPs since disbanding Hassle Hound in 2008, largely for Glasgow labels like freaky acid techno crew Clan Destine and the art school-centric Night School Records. Her 2013 double album Tumult in Clouds beat fellow nominees Hookworms, Broadcast and My Bloody Valentine to win the Mercury Prize alternative, the Dead Albatross Music Prize, and her most recent album, 2016’s Circles of Upper and Lower Hell, is a sprawling sonic interpretation of Dante’s Inferno, and has been nominated for the 2017 Scottish Album of the Year Award.
