After the first two Earthly Tapes & a handful of EPs, Earthly Measures drops its first full-length album with Mente Organica’s El Espacio - a beautifully crafted album with glorious textures, steady grooves, calming vibes & a dancefloor filler or two.

Born in Bogotá, Colombia – producer & multi-instrumentalist Mente Organica has slowly been making a name for himself within the folktronica/Latin scene. Following multiple album and EP releases over the past few years, El Espacio marks his first release on wax and the music stands out from anything he has done before. These 8 tracks surprise & reward the listener as individual harmonies at first, and finally, as a whole and immersive symphony.

From “Pablo Bebe’, a track he wrote which is inspired & dedicated to his best friend – to ‘Close the Door’, written in the depths of quarantine, reflecting isolation, loneliness & introspection, & ‘Yoga’ - a song written with his father that can be easily heard filling the dancefloor as well as easy bedroom sessions, this album truly does feel like his most personal work yet. ‘Eagle’- an utterly unique track born in Pucon, Chile, after meeting opera singer Katy Prado - blends sensibilities of 60s psychedelic rock vocals with Mente’s signature electronica. ‘Dame Un Segundo’ is the lobby track of the album, with Balearic vibes: chilled, jazzy & floaty. Title track ‘El Espacio’ pays homage to Mente’s influences growing up - think Massive Attack, Thievery Corporation & Air - giving us that Trip Hop vibe. ‘Huanini’ is a real groover - a low-key dance track that evokes that “start of the night” feeling of excitement, with heavy experimentation of granular synths. Finally, rounding the album off with melodies of hope, delight and positivity, ‘Partida’ reminds us that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Mente Organica - Dame Un Segundo

After quite some time I finally had a chance to go travel, play, and participate in the magic @kunekbh festival 2021 edition. A week on Ungdomsøen island was spent building the festival, meeting new friends, playing, and taking care of the stages. A lot of dancing, laughing, partying just having the best time in the best way. Thanks to @benenglish for trusting me with the recorder. I managed to play some micro, some house and as I usually do - going all over the place.  Very much enjoyed it and happy to share it with ya'll.

Hailing from Ploiesti (Romania), followed by his establishment in the UK, Vlad Ioachimescu himself represents a bold figure of the evergrowing underground minimal scene. His name has been mentioned on countless line-ups throughout London and West Midlands area and further. Vlad Ioachimescu’s signature sound is simply hypnotic, transposing any dancefloor into a narcotic journey to a rather darker and mesmerizing parallel dimension.
Vlad's clear talent and stage personna landed him performances alongside some of the most iconic DJs, such as Suciu, Cap, Cosmjn, Herck & Somesan, while also a couple of sounding names from UK such as Bryz, Ted Amber,  Triptil ,Pe Dant, Sorin Simon Inheriting and proudly representing a strong name, one could expect nothing but outstanding things from Vlad.

Szs, on his real name Szasz Cristian is a young DJ / producer from Romania. He had his first contact with electronic music 6 years ago, attending the most underground clubs in Romania, which left an important mark on his musical style. He loves the rominimal sound, inspired by artists such as Arapu, Cezar, Petre Inspirescu and SIT. In his production he tries to combine the classic minimal drums with modern rhythms, accelerated with a spatial and dark atmosphere trying to take the listener on a mysterious musical journey.

Owner and Founder of the Romanian label Carpathian Sounds, he claims that he wants to create connections and support artists that are passionate about the underground scene from all over the world, encouraging them to express themselves freely through music.

His personal release collection was born in 2020 and he signed with record labels such as: Unk Planet Rec, Welter Records, Podvodo Records, Not Allowed, Urban MIDI Records

The romanian talent in charge of the 7th edition of our segment  needs no introduction and is without space for doubts one of the hippest names of his homeland.

@caLLy-2 is known for always bringing his unmistakable groove  through his technical and mixing abilities unto any dance floor, no matter the size. 

Before the worldwide and unprecedented draconian lockdown caused by the globalist powers of the world and their shill governmental muppets, we had the honor of hosting Romania's most wanted @caLLy-2 among  other great artists; @Lamache, @OZtracks & @pekkuliar in a thrilling evening at the top of Barcelona's Montjuic hill last January.

Now he honors us once again and now with an immaculate 2 hrs+ set recorded exclusively for @ID:Cast. 

caLLy brought to us a very dynamic and fervent set that reunites almost all elements of electronica; from house to techno, from breaks to congas. With tracks of  talented artists such as @JayNortown, @JacoboSaavedradj  and @AndyKolwes, Dragos created a joyful journey with the impeccable mixing technique that characterizes him as a DJ.  

We also hope this fire set brings a bit of warmth to every each one of your homes in these excepcional times. The session is filled with his autograph from beginning to end.

Dragos Gabriel Dumitru was born in the beautiful region of Craiova, Romania. Being one of @Sunriseagency’s most valuable gems today, @caLLy-2 has always characterized his sets with a skillful blend of fresh dynamic sounds ranging from techno to breaks, always creating a collective rush on any event.

The artist, graduate of SAE Milano's Audio Engineering class of 2012, moved right after to the UK to start his musical journey founding and becoming also the resident DJ of one of London's top parties #Stumplondon with a group of friends. Since then, he has been representing the romanian electronic music culture all over, with tracks on labels like @Brouqade, the legendary @CocoonRecordings, @Mulen, @WetYourself, among others.

A stationary artist in #SunwavesFestival, one of the most prominent festivals in the world and for those in the know the biggest in Europe, @caLLy has owned his place in  the roster year after year thanks to his  astonishing talent. The Craiovian has become a symbol of the romanian electronic music soundscape with his trajectory and has been working extensively in his assortment over this lockdown with his own manifesto, where we will be able to understand more deeply                            his musical knowledge.

https://caLLy.blog is the new platform where we can find two main sections of caLLy's work. The first section consist of a music store with exclusive tracks of the artist for a fixed price. It includes a  player for previewing the music and a cart where you can pay for the total through a secured connection server. The other section includes posts about  caLLy's audio engineering general knowledge of mixing, mastering  & production, and also some life hacks to increase your productivity in general. 

@caLLy-2 also included in his blog a special donation section for a practice he does with some of his good friends every year with the goal  of helping orphan children that reside in different orphanage centers  throughout Romanian territory. From his own words this helps to "put a smile on the face of some kids" that, because of different life situations  have it harder to have reasons to smile today.
