Paul Weck is a vinyl DJ from the “Niemandsland” collective, who has his roots in Stuttgart. His obsession for vinyl and analog electronic music started withe the discovery of the legendary Herrensauna set by Hector Oaks and a 1210 standing in the living room of his childhood. His true goal is to make his sound in some way indefinable. Trying to translate his idea of a musical spaces and it’s connection to architectural spaces.

I decided to release this recording since it got me a spot on the Talent Stage of Soenda Indoor Werkspoorkathedraal on November 19th. A mixtape filled with different sorts of music building up a set with tribal influenced grooves to a hard pounding ending. Slightly harder than I usually like to play but figured it would work for an organization like Soenda. 

The artwork of this recording is a picture I made myself which I really liked. I have shot more pictures of the same object that will follow soon, maybe with another recording. So keep your eyes on my IG and SoundCloud if you’re interested.

For this edition of the series we have the Irish born Púca. He has been proving his skills by playing intimate venues with like minded souls and displaying his style on various radio stations. 

Púca lends it name from a mystical creature on the Island of Ireland. Púca was known to only appear at night and was feared by many a human as it was said that it brought either good or bad fortune to those it appeared to. 

This mix aims to take the listener on the full experience. A trip into his thoughts exploring the past and future, love and anger, power and weakness in the search of freedom. Connecting his present self to his inner child. From emotive feelings, broken metallics, grinding hypnotics, old school funkers and a sprinkle of an early uk influenced scene.

Pino started djing during his teens, with his father as the duo Bone X Zone. Currently based in Berlin he produces and djs as a solo artist under the alias of Pino Peña, and in a duo with Mitchell Jones aka Jones&Roth. The sound of his productions and sets always varies across genres, offering elements from techno, house and breaks while being inspired by punk, psychedelic and garage rock, jazz, hiphop and much more! He has released on labels like Glukkon Records, Entourage Concept, Lo Fidelity aswell as on the constantly growing Schimmer Records, where he’s also a resident. Expect more to come from him soon, new VA and solo releases and future output on his newly launched Label W133!
