Kicking oﬀ Rekids’ January, Monty Luke’s ‘Nightdubbing (Part 1)’ won the support of Josh Wink, Laurent Garnier, Fred P and many more. Radio Slave’s esteemed label now readies itself for part two, starting with ‘Supernova’, a slow-burning groover shot through with whirly synths and deep space textures, broken up by retro vocal samples. ‘Starstorms’ continues to explore the deepest reaches of the unknown, picking up pace via shaker rhythms, driving bass, and raw foot-on-the-pedal pads.

Up next is Monty Luke’s ‘New World / Old Future’, in which scratch-like drums, dubbed-out hits and a rolling rhythm are all in perfect order before the psychedelic ‘Avantgarde Dancehall’ introduces wonky liquid sonics and intricate melodies over a steady beat. Closing this eclectic oﬀering, ‘Travelling ‘Round The Sun’ features drums rooted in dub alongside spoken word poetry, rounding oﬀ a release that is storytelling at its very best.

Monty Luke spent ten formative years in Detroit, where the city's unique musical spirit inﬂuenced him immensely. He has since distilled this experience into the music he has put out on labels like Rekids, Planet-E, Hypercolour, and his own Black Catalogue. His raw, dub-infused sound comes with plenty of futuristic designs, with this second part of ‘Nightdubbing’ continuing to push the boundaries of his music.

Le changement de cycle est une réalité incontournable dans nos vies, que ce soit les cycles des saisons qui influent sur notre travail en agriculture, ou les cycles de vie que nous traversons en tant qu'êtres humains. Actuellement, alors que nous sommes au début du mois de février, notre système de production agricole entre dans une phase de transition, particulièrement pour nos chèvres laitières.Les chèvres entament un cycle de cinq mois de gestation à partir de la fin août, quand les jours raccourcissent. Nous avons choisi de les faire reproduire entre le dix et le quinze septembre, ce qui signifie que les mises bas surviendront entre le dix et le quinze février, symboliquement proche de la Saint-Valentin. Ce changement de cycle annonce le début des naissances, marquant une transition dans notre travail agricole.L'hiver, pour nous, est une période plus calme où les activités comme la traite des chèvres, la fabrication du fromage et les ventes sont absentes . C'est un moment propice pour réduire nos efforts physiques et profiter de pauses bien méritées. Nous avons la chance d'adapter notre rythme biologique aux saisons, ce qui nous permet de travailler de manière plus sereine et de prendre le temps de souffler.Mais au-delà des cycles saisonniers, il y a aussi les cycles personnels que nous vivons. À cinquante-sept ans, je ressens les changements dans mon corps et dans ma vie quotidienne par rapport à mes quarante ans. Il est essentiel de reconnaître et d'accepter ces évolutions pour mieux les intégrer dans notre quotidien.Je voulais te parler de l'importance de prendre des pauses et de respirer tout au long de la journée. Tout comme nous devons respecter les cycles naturels, il est crucial de respecter notre propre rythme et nos besoins individuels. Travaillant à la fromagerie, j'ai appris à travailler à mon propre rythme, tout comme mon mari travaille à son rythme dans les tâches agricoles.Dans la vie quotidienne, il est également important de respecter les rythmes de chacun. Par exemple, lors de nos promenades, j'ai appris à accepter mon rythme de marche, même s'il diffère de celui de mon mari. Apprendre à observer et à respecter nos propres rythmes nous permet de mieux nous comprendre et de prendre soin de nous-mêmes.Je t'encourage à prendre quelques minutes plusieurs fois par jour pour te reconnecter à toi-même, à observer ton corps et tes sensations. Ces moments de conscience t'aideront à mieux comprendre tes besoins et à adapter ton quotidien en conséquence.
