ELDAR are Marc Merinee and Merce Spica from Barcelona, born in 2004. The sound of ELDAR is a unique blend of different musical styles that mix the industrial sound, dark ambient and neoclassical aspects, but all characterized within the framework of electronic music. Their sound evolved over the years to the current sound in each album you discover new aspects of music. Eldar is a word of the Iberian language, a language of the Iberian about 2,500 years ago, but going back to the past of the megalithic culture. Eldar in this language means "Epidemic". Their message is dualistic, is the confrontation of opposites, laden with symbolism.

On this new album, entitled SAPERE AUDE, each track has been created in a unique collaboration with close related bands and projects, each introducing new instruments, melodies and voices - all treated and strongly bound together by the special ELDAR-sound to an epic and entralling listening. INFO: The concept of this album is inspired by the mystical and psychological archetypes to explain the universal version of a generic soul that rules from the collective unconscious of individuals in all human civilizations since antiquity. These archaic prototypes were copied, emulated and used since the dawn of humanity, and fantastic dream and images have been represented in myths and symbols, trying to explain these exemplary patterns that are still alive and latent until today. They sleep present in popular folklore, in the psyche of every human being, influencing yourself and collectively in the beliefs and ideas that lead them to make beautiful and creative acts or carrying even their own destruction, evolving or backward from that inexorable shape societies through time and history. This album runs in his melodies and lyrics the long road of archetypes that continue to print his psychological injury in each individual and that shape their behavior in society, determining the fate of humanity. After his work in projects such as Eldar or Asbaar, Marc Merinee created Matatus to mix industrial sounds, noise, ritual atmospheres and power electronics. The new album “Psychedelic Apocalypse” is a portrait of different diabolic entities around the world. The personality and attributes of these demons are portrayed through Matatus’ characteristic dark sound: suffocating atmospheres, ominous echoes, repetitive rhythms, eruptions of noise, and low voices denatured with abrasive electronic effects. “Psychedelic Apocalypse” is a gloomy, dense, agonizing, and threatening album. It is presented in professional CDr in a square DVD box, with more than 50 minutes of music, in a limited edition of 50 copies. You can get the album for 6 euros plus postage through the label Truco Espárrago.

After several years without disclosing their work to the general public, in 2007 decided starting to publish and distribute their work with major labels of the genre worldwide. Their sound is based on the industrial electronics with neoclassical touches, sonic experimentation and strong rhythms with dark ambient bases. Eldar means in the archaic Iberian language "Epidemic".
