Lucy Liyou, Los Angeles-based musician, opens a trilogy of invitations on Moans&Grunts. With her past records, Lucy has been playing with the idea of familiarity, documenting emotions through field recordings, text to speech softwares, vocals and piano.
The mix brings together piano works by Olivier Messiaen and Pierre Boulez as well as Klein, Phew and other experimental musicians. During this hour, the voice successively becomes ornament, ghost, instrument, body...
Lucy's album will be out on Orange Milk March 21st.
