CHAPTER I: THE RITUAL

The forests hold ancient and forbidden secrets. Secrets the likes of society were never meant to know. There are but few in this world that have learned the secrets of the forest and now is the time to bring forth its darkest one.

Deep within the shrouded veil of the woods, perverse and unspeakable rites sound through the night. Rituals and dark chanting to bring forth The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young, whose true name is Shub-Niggurath. If her cultists complete this summoning, it would surely spell the beginning of the end of mankind.

By chance, being lost in the same woods, you've stumbled upon this summoning. With fear and intrigue, all you can do is watch and listen as these horrors unfold, unable to describe the sights laid out before you. No matter how this night ends, you know you will never be the same again.

CHAPTER II: THE ARRIVAL

The ritual is at its very peak. The atrocities you've witnessed will haunt you for the rest of your days. Nothing can compare to the horrors you've beheld this night, and yet, you can feel that this is far from over.

Drums boom and the very air crackles with those unholy words that flow from the cursed tongues of your fellow mankind, words no lips were meant to utter. Beyond the echo of these rapturous heathens, you hear something further in the woods. Deep, booming thuds that seem to resonant to your core. A sense of dread and fear falls upon you like you've never experienced before.

Suddenly, at the edge of the clearing, you behold the purest of monstrosities. Great hooves stamp the earth beneath it, while twisting feelers reach towards the night sky. Mouths and eyes cover its horrid form, and though you wish to turn from this sight, your body refuses to budge even in the slightest. 

As you try to grapple with the horror before, other similar eldritch horrors begin emerging from the woods. Warped satyrs from Greek myth, humanoid amalgamations, and Goat-like creatures of nightmare intermix among the already raucous throng. The drums beat louder and it seems the very fabric of your reality begins to twist.

Your sanity has finally snapped. You rise from your hiding place and against everything that would've previously stopped you, walk into the throbbing, monstrous crowd. Nothing seems to notice you, not even those eldritch abominations. You are at one with the beings around you. You are a part of them.

Amidst the terrors and chaos around you, the shredded remains of your once sane mind catch hold of one thing. The ever growing boom in the distance. You know it to be one thing, the Goddess herself. The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young. She is coming, in all of her terrible and splendid beauty.

CULT RITUAL II

TORTURER OF MANKIND

My dearest friend,

It is of the utmost importance that I write to you, as my mind has been awakened to the truth. The list of maladies that plague the human brain is innumerable. Science will go to extensive lengths to explain away these ailments, from chemical imbalances to trauma responses. But what if there was something darker at play?

What if there was some cosmic entity that happened to stumble upon our poor little species in our backwater of the universe? What if it observed our daily sufferings and took delight in it? What if we are little more than ants under a magnifying glass in the hot sun?

It is time now, my friend, that we unlock the forbidden truth and open your eyes to that which lies secret to mankind. Let me expand your mind and tear away the curtain that shelters us in ignorant bliss. For he has revealed himself to me and has dictated that the stars are right for our world to know him once again. 

He has gone by innumerable names and worn countless faces through the annals of history, shaping and guiding our world as his plaything. The Dark Ages, The Black Death, World War II because the first one wasn’t fun enough for him, the ever present tension in the Middle East, and scores of other calamities that have befallen the human race were and are influenced by his hand. But he seeks not for our destruction like the other Outer Gods, oh no. He merely wishes to enjoy us in his own way. 

He has shown himself to me and graced me his names. Christianity had the gall to call him Satan, but he is so far worse than anything told within the tales of “scripture”. The Crawling Chaos, The Black Pharaoh, The Bloated Woman, The Haunter of the Dark, but his true name is Nyarlathotep.

He has shown me his plans for this world my friend and I implore you, embrace him and revel in what is to come. He is Chaos incarnate and there is no longer a point in trying to control the chaos of this world. Humans will do all that they can to provide order, but with the slightest pull of a thread, it all comes raveling undone. 

I beg of you, meet me and see for yourself what I speak of. You know where to find me. We’re patiently waiting for you.
