Mountain Thyme

So this composition is based around my first uni task for 2nd year. We have been asked to write theme music about a book we have read. I have chosen "Before I Die" by Jenny Downham. The book is about a dying girl who makes a list and tries to do everything on it before she dies. My piece of music starts off light peaceful. It then gets a bit mad in the middle picking up the pace and some dissonance. At the end we have a modulation and the first tune is repeated but a simplified, with an unfinished cadence at the end of the music. There is also a perfect cadence at the end of the first section and a few hidden plagal and impact cadence's within the music.
