Get Physical Music is releasing a remix album of Karol XVII & MB Valence’s Essay that is full of exclusive new takes as well as previously released works, but before that come two EPs taken from it.

The first EP features new versions from Kasper Bjørke and Death on the Balcony, plus a remix from the pair themselves and one from Fur Coat.

Danish artist Kasper Bjørke is a talented composer and producer who has recorded solo and as part of various groups since the early 2000s. His Space Out Remix of 'Humanity' is a cosmic excursion on lush and sugary sweet synth lines and crisp nu-disco drums. Death on the Balcony is a UK duo that has long been turning out fresh mixes of house, disco and plenty in between on this label and many others. They flip 'Fool's Gold' ft. Jono McCleery into a deep and dreamy house cut with organic percussion and arching pads that sink you into a reverie.

Then come the two classic remixes - one from Karol XVII & MB Valence, who flip 'Humanity' into eight minutes of sublime synth sequences and supple rubbery drums that carry you to the stars. Last of all, Fur Coat the head honcho of Oddity Records adds his melodic house and techno touch and spine-tingling breakdowns to 'Fool's Gold' ft. Jono McCleery.

This is a rich remix package that offers varied and vital sounds for all occasions.

Anton Ishutin & Blessed Flame brings us his latest music release titled "Karma." Back to the fold with the first extract taken from his upcoming debut long-player on A Tribe Called Kotori, Fabian Krooss takes us to a delicate and transporting headspace with his twofold single, "Oh Darlin'". Infused with laid-back Chicagoan rhythms and feelgood Afro soulfulness, this opening brace of cuts from the German producer weaves solar-powered sensitivity with vaporous floor dynamics to hypnotic effect. An ode to impro and the free-flowing power of gut instinct, Krooss' newest offering translates thousands of places, feelings, moments and encounters into a buoyant melting-pot of debonair grooviness. "Producing has a meditative and balancing effect on me" Krooss says, and it definitely shines through in these, as we're taken on a seamless ride up serene moodscapes and ethereal club-ready apexes.  

A track that "captures my musical vision like no other" in Krooss' own admission, "Oh Darlin'" oozes a cross-pollinating elixir of hi-NRG house and folk-informed downtempo, gracefully threading its way in limbo between proper DJ-friendly functionality and loungey hedonism. Composed earlier this year and refined over the summer, "Oh Darlin'" stacks positive energies and beams them across the room like a vital call to channel the good vibes and move in the direction of love and unity. The second track, "Staring", recorded in collaboration with Samaha during his stay in Seattle in March 2023, engineers a nice mix of both artists' distinct melodic universes, while encapsulating memories from Krooss' journey in North America. A further balmy slice of atmospheric electronica tinged with hints of dream-pop and balearic house, "Staring" cruises at its own tranquil pace across colour-shifting horizons and gently jagged reliefs, ready to soak up full sound systems with its soothing, poetic funk. Lush as it gets.
