A delicately evolved and interesting piece. Aspects of it remind me of 70's electronica (Tonto's expanding head band, Tangerine Dream). I like this a lot. Nice work =]

Electronic composition from 1982 for the art show Tidal Flow, featuring paintings of Henri-Pierre Tatin. This work was inspired by the song of whales, the waves of the sea, and under-water sounds. All sounds where create with analog synthesizers. During the composition we are sometimes above and sometimes below the water level.

A shorter version of Tidal Flow was used for a program by modern dance ensemble Arc en Ciel (Emmie Bannink and Nettie van Dijk).  



Tidal Flow

I have been creating electronic music since the early 70s, before the genre exploded in 100,000 different directions. First with self-built equipment and tape recorders; later with Synton music synthesizers that I helped design and more tape recorders. I then moved to computers and digital hardware synthesizers controlled by MIDI. Nowadays it is primarily samplers and software synthesizers. The tape recorders have long been replaced; everything is recorded on the PC. 

Over time, I will be uploading what I consider my more interesting compositions, starting with the early 80s.

Since around 2005, I have become more active in my other interest, computer animation. This has been at the expense of composing music, so there is little new there.
