Gravmaskin - "Sultans of Speed"

30 years ago, four teenagers from New Jersey set out to create a Thrash Metal band in the vein of their favorite bands at the time: Slayer and Metallica (the band even initially called themselves Phantom Lord). The result, however, was something faster, louder and unbelievably violent, as evidenced by the group's five-track demo tape, 'Morbid Invasion.' 

1986 was a turning point for the genre; the aforementioned bands were already well-established and had nothing to prove. Thrash Metal as a whole wimped out. Fantom Warior, however, was just getting started, looking to make a statement with their brutal Power Thrashing Metal. Guitarists Keith Pires and Steve Schley had a precision in their playing that was lethal in its execution and never lost its edge despite the break-neck speeds. Drummer James Jensen effortlessly kept up the pace while bassist/vocalist "Big" John Chernack had a voice that was far more powerful than anyone else in the genre at the time. This tape received critical acclaim in zines around the world and is still revered today in the Metal underground—Fenriz of legendary Black Metal band Darkthrone has even cited 'Morbid Invasion' to be one of his favorite demos of all time! 

Electric Assault Records is proud to present this important piece of Underground Metal history in the best possible way: on glorious virgin vinyl. The source for the material was taken from the band's own personal archives, which was then given to Jack Control of Enormous Door Mastering where the audio was carefully treated to ensure the best possible and most dynamic sound for both vinyl and digital. In addition, this release will include a booklet of rare photos and flyers, not seen outside of the band's circle, an interview conducted by former Slayer zine editor Jon "Metallion" Kristiansen and liner notes from fans such as Fenriz and RG of Black Anvil, who formerly fronted the band when they were known as Phantom Lord. This is the ultimate testament to one of Metal's most criminally overlooked bands!

Debut solo recordings from former Repugnant bassist and Iron Lamb vocalist Grga Lindstrom. His eponymous band (which also features former band members from the two above mentioned groups, namely Thomas Daun on drums and Johan Wallin on guitar) follows the Punk Rock style of Iron Lamb but darker, in the vein of The Dead Boys than, say, The Ramones.

GRGA - Overblown

Electric Assault Records is happy to finally announce the forthcoming release of the debut LP, I Am All, from uber-cult Swedish Heavy Metal band Taiwaz this fall. Side-A consist of four brand new tracks recorded, produced and mixed by In Solitude's Gottfrid Ahman while side-B contains the sole unreleased 1989 demo, featuring the track "Play with the Devil," which was covered by Watain on its "All That May Bleed" single. The Uppsala brotherhood runs deep, as the design/layout was done by Trident Arts and the cover illustration was done by R. Merrisen of Degial.

Taiwaz - I Am All

Terminal is Tobias Lindkvist of Enforcer's tribute to the obscure Heavy Metal bands of the Eastern Bloc, with the lyrics even sung in Slovenien. With two pressings of this cassette tape—totaling 300 copies via Ljudkassett—selling out faster than a "Heavy Metal Lokomotiva," Electric Assault Records is extremely excited to present these two tracks on 7" vinyl.

On Pig Eyes' second album (appropriately titled '2nd Album'), the Swedish psych-punks slowly step away from the straight-ahead, hardcore leanings of the first record and delve deeper into darker, more progressive territories. This isn't to say the band—which includes members of hardcore punk band Nitad and "Svart Rockers" In Solitude—has completely forgotten its roots; this is punk in the Wipers or Birthday Party tradition, which is something most bands fail to channel successfully (or even acknowledge). It's with this burning desire to evolve, expand and experiment that makes Pig Eyes a band everyone should get excited about.

Brand new Death Metal band from New York City featuring Chris Bowman of hardcore punks Ajax and Evan Radigan of dove-shovers Vanity. Four tracks of Cranial Putrefying and Inhuman Metal of Death! Mommy - Demo

"Om Det Aldrig Blir Något Mer Så Gör Det Ingenting" is the lead track to the debut LP of Second Sun, entitled 'Hopp/Förtvivlan,' which is the Folk Space Rock child of Jakob Ljungberg, drummer of Death Metal band Tribulation. The album features roughly half an hour of the finest Hard Rock psychedelia, with influences ranging from Steeleye Span and Nektar to Jethro Tull and Hawkwind with words sung entirely in his native Swedish. Now that you've been maimed, slaughtered and have crawled to your cross after the assault from Nightmare City's 2014 demo, the Swedish Heavy Metal Punk trio—Jocke Norberg (ex-Witchgrave), Anton Sunesson (Antichrist) and Henke Skoog (Nominon)—return in 2015 with the debut self-titled mini-LP, which features three new cuts and three re-recordings. Recommended for fans of early Iron Maiden, Black Uniforms and G.I.S.M.

After the successful attack delivered from the "Heavy Metal Locomotiva," Tobias Lindkvist's Eastern Bloc tribute project Terminal strikes back with "Satanski Naročila" ("Satanic Orders") coupled with "Črna Smrt" ("Black Death"). These two tracks once again successfully channels the grandeur of bands such as Ossian, Pokolgep and Kat with the same over the top conviction as done behind the Iron Curtain three decades ago. This is the best single Tonpress or Hungaroton would have released!

'Black Blade' features six brand new cuts of sonic destruction, with the band building upon the noisy d-beat foundation that they laid down on the first EP from 2014. The results are a tighter, more aggressive, yet "catchier" formula that most of their contemporaries lack and what this music needs.

As with all classic trilogies, the third and final installment is always the most grandiose, and Terminal's 'Zadnji Izlet' ('The Final Trip') is true to this timeless formula. The past two singles, 'Heavy Metal Lokomotiva' and 'Satanski Naročila,' have highlighted the immense power of Eastern Bloc Heavy Metal but on 'Zadnji Izlet,' mastermind Tobias Lindkvist goes all-in with the genre's overlooked ballad style, complete with melancholy melodies that you can sing along to, regardless of whether or not you know Slovenian or not. The flip-side, appropriately titled 'Epilog,' features the songwriting of Antichrist's Gabriel Forslund, and is the perfect ending that wraps up what Terminal was created for: a tribute to a wonderfully peculiar and once obscure style of Heavy Metal. Electric Assault Records is proud to realize this mission, and to do it justice, 'Zadnji Izlet' will be released as a 12" single for optimum sound quality. As with the previous two, this release is strictly limited to 500 copies worldwide.

German black metal horde OCCVLTA have come a long way since its humble beginnings in 2004. With only two legitimate releases under their literal bullet belts ('We Command the Wolves' demo in 2010 and a split single with UK hooligan rockers Salute in 2012) and select live appearances over the last seven years (which includes festivals such as Live Evil in London and Berlin, Muskelrock in Sweden and Metal Magic in Denmark as well as a US tour in 2012), it is perhaps a sign, then, that the trio's—brothers Torm (drums), Hord (vocals) & Vrgh (guitars)—highly-anticipated full-length, 'Night Without End,' will finally see the light of day 13 years later this June, 2017. 

Where most black metal bands these days front an image of "magick" and "spells," OCCVLTA are thankfully the real deal: unabashedly arrogant and oblivious to trends. They carry with them the perfect blend of naive enthusiasm (Hellhammer) and underground ignorance (Darkthrone) with an unfiltered rock n' roll danger (GG Allin), and it shows not only within their explosive live sets (not "rituals") but also in their music. Every facet of OCCVLTA is nothing but pure honesty, not just with themselves but with their total artistic vision. Black metal has never been this raw, primitive, crushing and pure since the mid-90's.
