A Band’s Tale

The band Electric Driver was originally founded early 2019. Jeroen and Danilo (both Amsterdam locals) met on a musician founder website and hooked up. Well, addition is needed to start a real band, but drummer David soon completed the trio and they were ready to rock and recorded The Electric Driver Studio EP in June 2020. But then suddenly (like many things in 2021) it was all about to end! Jeroen had to leave the band! Could this be the end? Ya think!? Well, the foundation was still there, so the search for new musicians began. It didn’t take long before new lead singer Menno joined the band. All they need now is a bass player. Well, David knew a guy he used to play with back in the days. Well, it's worth a shot... Claudio left his current band and became the new bass player, and thus a power trio became a quartet and were ready to rock again. New musicians mean new influences, a fresh new sound and a brand-new beginning! After many happy rehearsals and writing lots of new songs, the band decided it was time to record a selection of four tracks. So, here it is. We proudlypresent our new mini album “Find Your Shine” and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it. Play it loud, continuously and let go! 

Find Your Shine – A Musical Concept

We believe music to be the strongest of tools, it can lift you up or kick you down. It’s the inevitable joyride of everyday live that keeps feeding our creative minds. We don’t want to take the blue pill nor the red, we just believe in the power of music. It’s all about the music! Find Your Shine is our way to rock while making an effort.Our music is best described as pretty unboxable! It's mostly rock & funk-based, but with a twist of groove, jazz, metal, reggae and then some... We just like to be as eclectic as possible. Our first trackRiver Clear is all about setting yourself free and seeing things clear. “Why so negative, be Smooth like me”. The escalating controversy between the positive and the negative minded, fed by fear of a thousand opinions and an overload of digital input of today’s, tomorrows and yesterday’s misery. Addictive food for even the strong minded. The bright minded will try to be relative and offer a different point of view, but sadly, the glass is always half full. They just fail to see that they’re missing out on all that heavenly glory that is, living in the moment. Mend This World does make a statement. True! You know, we all love this little marvelous blue marble we live on and sometimes we forget how extremely unique planet earth really is and how tiny we all are in the great scheme of things. Enjoy life, but treat our planet ever so gentle. It truly can’t go on like this… If we don’t act soon, nature eventually will! We end our journey with all that remains; lots of crazy, frustrations, confusion and aggression. Split Second does it all, but mainly this is our no-brainer for your enjoyment and frankly ours… Go crazy!

Band Members

All band members are long-time preforming musicians, so everybody has their own unique musical journey. Danilo started playing guitar like forever ago and has played in many bands and even managed to impress Wild Romance's Dany Lademacher. David and Claudio are long-time acquaintances, and both played years together in the Jazz-Fusion band BarabaNL. Both played in lots of other bands and David sometimes several at once. Menno was long-time lead singer of the band Decker. So, at the end of the day, they’re all very creatively skilled musicians that found each other at the exact right time. Like pieces of a puzzle…
