My remix of the title music from Bungie's 1990s classics, Marathon 2 and Marathon Infinity

Lh’owon is the ancient homeworld of the S’pht, though it’s currently occupied by a garrison of the Pfhor, who enslaved the S’pht a millennium ago. Its extensive ruins hide clues to the fate of a tribe of S’pht lost thousands of years before the Pfhor arrived. Oh, and turns out the planet’s sun imprisons a Lovecraftian elder god of chaos which will devour the universe if freed.

Into this planet’s system comes the rampant and only possibly insane artificial intelligence Durandal in a captured Pfhor dreadnought; he sets about bombarding the Pfhor garrison from orbit and teleporting his pet cyborg security officer (the player) around, having him flood an outpost with lava over here, save enslaved humans over there, and then go on an extended archeological dig into the ancient S’pht ruins in search of a weapon that can give Durandal the dominance and universe-outliving immortality he hungers for.

Here is our remix of one of the all time classic 80s jams by Depeche Mode. We took a small sample of the chugging beat and some atmospherics (along with the iconic vocal) and built a mesmerizing, floating, trippy melodic techno stormer, perfect for those 2am dance floor moments. PREMIERE : Merov' - Quefrency Domain [Roulade Records]

One thing I love to do as a DJ is to mix up tracks from different time periods. Good music is good music, and so in my book there is no taboo for playing tracks made 30 years apart! For today's show, I knew I wanted to play Mercury and Solace by BT as well as Terminal 6 by Solarity, and then everything else was picked on the fly.

This was a tough show because I dislocated my shoulder in jujitsu a few hours before, and I was trying to look after a 6-month old crawling everywhere, too! Some of the mixes are a bit rough as a result, but if there's anything I've learned about DJing mixes, it's that I care about the mix a lot more than anyone else!

Lots of beautiful old-school tunes in this one!

Electric Mirage is the project of Douglas Black and Daniel Fowler to bring honest music back to the radio and dancefloor. Douglas wears his '80s and '90s influences on his sleeves, but adds his own sensibilities to create unique, atmospheric, and heart-felt melodic music that reaches across decades and genres. With his first release "Absolute Zero" on Framewerk's Capital Heaven record label, Electric Mirage is off to a very promising start.


Douglas Black and Daniel Fowler met in the Hong Kong nightlife scene and quickly became close friends with a shared passion for music and games.

They also share a passion for connecting with people, and the vision of Electric Mirage was born: create a world where people can come together, express themselves, and connect while listening to meticulously curated music from around the globe. A world with good vibes, good taste, and good company.

Douglas and Daniel’s performances quickly gained the DJ duo respect and followers in their adopted home of Hong Kong, and their rooftop gatherings became cherished memories for many attendees.

In 2020, Douglas Black began his musical residency on well-known UK breaks station, Cutters Choice Radio, and began developing his idea of what a music podcast should be. Each episode of coheres around exploring a story or idea through a variety of tracks from around the world, with quality and honesty being the most important criteria for selected tracks.

Douglas is currently based out of Tampa Bay, Florida area. Daniel is based out of Lisbon, Portugal.
