Nearing on two years since his last outing with Proximity, Tom Small returns, bringing with him only fire. Known for his hard rollers, Tom Small shows us what he knows best offering some of the finest in Drum & Bass. With support from some of the most respected producers and selectors in the game: Amoss, Bredren, RoyGreen & Protone, Rido, and Fre4knc to name a few on an increasingly growing list.
Black Angel starts us off in style; a nice little shadowy roller that’s sure to get a killer reaction. This is one for any arsenal with excellent manipulation of low end and truly cross spectrum sound. Track number two moves us into the eerie, further into the recesses of sound. Again keeping up the pace, with Falling Walls Tom Small harmonises thick hard hitting bass with wobble in a completely unique way. The power dynamic between the two is a joy to listen to, each one battling out for dominance of the track. 
Raucous toms lead the sound in Future Time, in addition to unimaginable mid range noises, all before we reach the drop. The title track has certainly earned its spot and doesn’t fail to deliver the epitome of energy. The highlight however is as the tune lets up in the middle and teases that rumbling bass stripped back of all but a few futuristic squelches before serving up its hard sound once more.
Detailed ends the EP in style, bringing with it all you would expect. With an experimental drum pattern that still hits all the right groove chords, all you can do is rock out. A fitting end to an outstanding display; this one’s a keeper.

M-set (@m-set) and P.C.D. keep us moving with their track "Extinction" with a heavy driving Sub, solid drums, interesting cinematic samples and twisting rising Mids this one is a dance-floor charger.

Closing the EP we have upcomer Exception(@exceptiondnb) with the track "Secret Weapon", an upfront affair with crunchy drums and a powerful lowend. To round up Addictive Behaviour's fifth year since inception the imprint will be signing out of 2019 with a three track release that sums up just what the label is all about. This, their 40th release, comes from none other than OaT, the German production mastermind who is rapidly rising through the producer ranks and is hotly tipped to become a staple part of the new era of D&B. This second EP with Addictive once again shows OaT's incredible diversity and ability to create a brand new sound across each of these three very unique cuts.  

From the opening, heart pounding and metal sounding reese bass that characterizes 'Expectations' you can tell that OaT bleeds his heart and soul into every element of his productions. This title track from the release is loaded with some serious weight that will resonate in your eardrums for years to come. Then flipping the release on its head, the mysteriously titled '144k' edges in a contrasting vibe of mechanical rolling beats tinged with moody distant vocal stabs, showboating OaTs ingenious production subtleties. And last but not least is 'Conviction' a track which builds and drops just as the title suggests, picking up the pace again with some tight and techy drums complemented by its warped bass. 

Since his debut EP on Addictive OaT has managed to secure releases across a host of outputs and is quickly becoming recognized as a pioneer of new music. Breaking away from the generic cast and bringing a breath of fresh air with each and every production.
