Shanghai-based producer and DJ Laughing Ears became known to us through her 'Metamorphosis' EP on the inimitable Chinabot, an imprint showcasing some of the most exciting Asian artists operating in the experimental electronic sphere.

She's carved out her own sonic niche, which sees her chopping and screwing footwork and dubstep-inspired beats with haunting atmospheres and layers of synthesis. Since then she's also landed on the likes of Infinite Machine for her debut LP 'Blood' before being snapped up by Untold's Hemlock Recordings for her latest EP, 'Losing Track': another deep dive into broken rhythms, bass experiments and eerie atmospheres.

Off the back of the release, we asked her to deliver a mix which gives you an introduction to the sounds that form the backbone of her DJ sets and her own productions.

is the 2nd conceptual idea to follow “Hardy’s Haunted Box” 
from the 2nd edition of dirtyblends. 

Black Accordion was created in the realm of early 
Relief/Dancemania records preserving a specific 
timeline of early 90s Chicago style tracks that 
people like Gemini,Paul Johnson,Boo Williams, 
Glenn Underground and Cajmere played on loft 
and warehouse parties…
