On the 16th vinyl release from ELECTRO MUSIC COALITION, Robot Connection #001, an international lineup of producers comes together: the owner of the Orbital Mechanics record label, Maltese artist Sound Synthesis; the Belgian composer Arsonist Recorder, known for running ZwaarteKracht Records; and two members of the EMC label team, Neonicle and sin:it:sin.
The compilation follows a unified concept, but let's break it down track by track.

Physical Reality kicks off with a deep ambient groove reminiscent of Brian Eno’s work. It evolves into a classic and precise rhythmic layer, with bass pad textures featuring vibrato effects and sudden breaks in the lead synthesizer’s themes. Secondary parts, including a 303 and noise elements, round off the overall pensive and dark motif, setting the initial tone for the entire collection.
T and A shifts into even darker territory with a more static arrangement. A harsh, distorted kick drum, dynamic synth riff, and heavy bass anchored by the kick create a low-register theme by Arsonist Recorder. This track transports listeners to a nighttime open-air setting, eventually offering a breath of fresh air.
Combination begins with a simple low-frequency kick, but quickly introduces an aggressive, technological synth groove with acidic elements. This groove expands into a high-pitched melodic narrative, where multiple melodic lines intertwine and converge at the track's climax. Neonicle’s sound demonstrates that a strong rhythm section and bass can drive a track while carrying significant meaning.
The final track, People Are Aliens by sin:it:sin, takes the baton with a sub-bass foundation, evoking the feel of a secret laboratory’s catacombs. With a snare that defines the spatial width, a softly pulsing kick, and repetitive filtered sequences flowing over an almost pad-like bass, the track develops into brainwashing synths that etch the listening experience into memory.

The compilation is infused with a dark technological mood, which results in two main strengths: the sound both energizes and evokes a lyrical mood that runs as a constant throughout the entire collection. Each track offers a unique perspective on the theme, collectively creating a complete ELECTRO trip.

As our fourth release we are extremely excited to present an EP from Leszek Romaniak, hiding under X-Truder, a Polish artist currently based in the UK.
Since childhood, music has always had an important place in Leszek's life. As a teenager he was into rap, breakdancing and graffiti, sometimes listening to Kraftwerk, Aphex Twin and Photek. It was around that time that turntables and scratching/vinyl playing caught his attention, but it was Dave Clarke and his techno-electro DJ sets that blew Leszek's mind. Then he decided he wanted to do it too and immersed himself in electronic music: Umek, Chris Liebing, DJ Hell, Hacker, Dopplereffekt. Eventually Leszek bought a pair of Technics 1210s and started collecting vinyl records and DJing. He did this for almost 20 years under different names. Obviously the next step was to produce music, but he didn't take it seriously until 2018 when he started «X-Truder».

We've always been deeply captivated by his unbridled pure energy of ripping beats and rhythms with a strong edge of distortion and timbral diversity. Which is also what our release confirms. Literally with German machine precision, Leszek builds his powerfully effective structures and imagery, at the same time that have a fundamentally wild and unbridled energy emanating from the drums.
