Reaching the twentieth catalog number is more than just a statistic; it is a testament to the label's vitality and its formidable weight within the global electro scene. This anniversary release, titled "Aspiration," brings together the creative forces of two prominent figures in the Russian electronic landscape: Local Code and Yansyet.

The record’s title and its conceptual symbolism — the all-seeing eye and shackled hands — set a raw yet profoundly meaningful tone for the entire work. In the authors' vision, the shackles represent fundamental constraints. Only by acknowledging their existence can one find the drive to break free, moving toward the creation and evolution of ideas bestowed by the metaphorical Architect. This ideology of transcendence dictates the release's uncompromising sound. Setting aside melancholy, "Aspiration" bets on pure dynamics. The focus is on an aggressive groove, a heavy rhythm section, and a raw sonic aesthetic that feels as though it is tearing through the chains of conventional structures.

Local Code and Yansyet have forged a monolithic body of work where technical precision and rigid rhythmic structures dominate over any excess. The duo demonstrates a masterful continuity of "machine-driven" sound traditions while maintaining a relentless, driving energy.

No lyrical diversions — just confident drive and a meticulously calibrated beat. "Aspiration" proves that by its twentieth release, EMC hasn't lost its grip, continuing to deliver high-caliber, uncompromising sound to dancefloors worldwide.

Planet Zebes - EP composed by French artist Hylian Fields, in which he seeks to convey the feeling of tension and doom he experienced when first playing one of his favorite video games "Super Metroid", as certain aspects of its universe left a deep impression on him. The idea was to adapt it to his vision of electro, to pay tribute to a type of creation that is too often overlooked as art. The two powerful electro-break remixes are composed by French artists Reallyraw and Lemon Schaden.
