There’s a story behind these four excellent tracks, by Fotoapparat, that makes this release so important to listen to it! 

These dark, modular and at the same 
time industrial sounds , it seems that they came as a blast from the past but in a futuristic and cyber blend too! 

"FOTOAPPARAT was born somewhere in Europe, around the 21st century. The project is thought as a multimedia experiment with roots both from the past and the future : it is the fruit of the love of strange music, social science fiction and last but not least, underground electronic subcultures. 

To this day, FOTOAPPARAT has released music on Dostonos Records, Ukonx Recordings, Bones Hear Nothing and Diffuse Reality Records."

Elmo Sarpaniemi (El Mono) and Roope Karhunen (Kaltstam) met at a local Helsinki radio station in 2005, and linked up soon again at an afterparty in 2018. Fueled by their mutual passion towards only the best genres ever they squeezed out a blend of goa trance, techno, electro, breakbeats, and IDM. This steamy and humid session gave birth to the title track, “Positive”.

The other ER original - 2G - sounds more like traditional goa trance, but still… it hardly is. Clocking the rhythm around 140 bpm like the opening track, it kicks in the club doors with a robust bassline, enchanting the cultured dancer with its peculiar melodies, leaving the purists absolutely cold evicting them for a cigarette. Because who gives an oink about purists, right?

This record is also fortunate enough to be blessed with two spectacular remixes. Neri J’s approach is a more club friendly, yet aetheric version of “Positive”, but don’t get it twisted. It still possesses something very psychedelic and raw. Ilev Luna wraps up the release nicely with his touch, that sounds like an interpretation of modern techno, but in fact could be a journey into your psyche. BOOM! This slaps.

For this 187th Premiere of 2025, we have a track by Brazil's Marcela Dias Sindaco titled ‘Canção de ninar’ from her forthcoming LP "Electro Tropical" on the label located in Oklahoma City (USA) : Fixed Rhythms.

Hailing from Rio de Janeiro, Marcela Dias Sindaco is formerly a classical piano and cello player. With early musical influences drawing from experimental German groups like Popol Vuh, Tangerine Dream, and Cluster, her electro productions encapsulate more than one sound palette.

The LP will be available from October 30, 2025 in limited edition double 12" vinyl & digital

For Marcela Dias Sindaco’s third release on the Oklahoma City label Fixed Rhythms, she delivers a full-length 2xLP of her characteristically magical electro. These songs were recorded in various studios across Brazil, capturing the intangibles of Brazilian city life. You can hear her influences (Detroit techno, kosmische synth travel, electro, etc.), but she distills it all yet again into something completely her own. Whenever you listen to her music, you know it’s her. Hypnotizing electro made on warm machines with her sung/spoken Portuguese woven enchantedly throughout…truly sublime listening. This is a 16 track groove journey that will make you a Marcela fan if you aren’t already one.

The two black 12”s come housed in a beautiful jacket that offers you a glimpse into Marcela’s world. The background of the artwork on the backside features a wallpaper design that you may find in an old home in Brazil. Inside is an insert written by Italian curator and philosopher Massimo Torrigiani. Only 300 copies pressed…don’t sleep on this one.

You probably never heard of him, but he is doing this thing since half an eternity. Rather than playing a lot of shows he focuses on studying the craft of electronic sound manipulation and what else can be said that: he is on top of his game! He shows us that it is still possible to create sonic structures that are beyond the usual by just using classic devices such as the TR 808 rhythm composer and a TB 303 monophonic synthesizer.
