"Super Flu - Volkwein (Kollektiv Turmstrasse Remix)" - out today on Monaberry!!

After the unbridled success that was "Volkwein", Super Flu's collaboration with The Dortmund Philharmonic, the always on point Monberry label now revisits the package with the help of some fine contemporary remixers, namely Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Monkey Safari and Bebetta.

Super Flu, aka Herzblut Recordings regulars and German pair Felix Thielemann & Mathias Schwarz, really conjured up some magic with the original so these remixes, which reinterpret in fine style, are more than welcome.

First up are Kollektiv Turmstrasse, a rare act that infuse their sound with something more - extra soul, depth and meaning. On their remix of the title track, they go for a trademark deep, brooding and slowly unfolding vibe with subtle synth modulations, buried drums and a rising sense of tension.

The curious and off kilter German duo Monkey Safari are up next. First they rework 'Bratzke' with a sensitive sense of touch. Underlapping, rubbery drums roll below churchy and hymnal chords. Softly spoken vocals add intimacy and you can see this one really making for quite a moment on the right dance floor. Secondly, they serve up a digital bonus remix of the same track that makes less use of the vocal and places plenty of emphasis on their lush arrangement and true sense of musicality.

Lastly we have Bebetta, a playful producer who infuses her music with charming melody and a real sense of personality. She has also recently won the Tresor Newcomer Award for her impressive DJ sets around Berlin. Her version of 'Volkwein' is patient and spacious. Glowing harmonically it soothes mind body and soul with playful patterns and clever use of filters.

This EP is an elegant and magical release that proves house music can be so much more than a physical and functional thing, and can instead stir real emotion when in the right hands.

With our upcoming MGF031 we are more than ready to start the new year which will also mark the 10th anniversary of Musik Gewinnt Freunde and there's no better way to begin this very special moment for our family than to present you this "Various Artists" EP that along with well known members as Cosmic Cowboys and the Mexican Leo Leal will introduce you to three new great additions to the team as the Canadian duo "In2Deep", the Germans Soukie & Windish and last but not least another talented artist coming from Venice as ARG.O to close this stunning pack that perfectly represent the idea behind our label and the sound we love to release in our productions.

Hailing from Montreal, In2Deep touch the listener with their beautiful track "One". Its silky textures and hypnotic sounds introduce this wonderful journey we’re proposing to you on this brand new release.

Next there are Soukie & Windish, the two label heads from URSL, who debut their amazing "Transformation" with Musik Gewinnt Freunde to lead us on a different path that will take us to a darker side, however, still perfectly melting with its deep and breathtaking harmonies.

As our label name says, what we love to do is to bring together people from all over the world through the music. So this is what happened with Cosmic Cowboys from Italy and Leo Leal who has recently joined the family as well. The guys' contribution to this pack was "Citrine", a track that expresses a great new perspective of sound. Nico and Kaled's love for a more epic build featuring several layers of sound completes the sexiness that is essential in Leo's sound – creating something new that we really love.

To sum up this new adventure, we are happy to have ARG.O's amazing track named "Black Vision" which is the right thing for dark winter nights. It'll simply catch you right from the beginning and won't let you down to the very last second.

London-centric beatmakers Silk 86 and Blamma! Blamma! go back to back on a project via Emotive Records - launching off the label's first edition.

Composed of Finn Casey and Thomas L, Silk 86 kick off this new joint venture with a limited edition vinyl press. Having cut their teeth over the last decade DJing, promoting and being intoxicated in the metamorphic underground scene of East London, these Londoners remain resolute in disregarding genres in favour of incorporating their eclectic musical backgrounds. Blamma! Blamma! have a history of making deep, disco-fied tracks and remixes with releases on labels including Eskimo, Deleted, Kitsune and The Walls Have Ears. In a neat twist, Finn Casey also comprises one half of Blamma! Blamma! – the other member being London to Brooklyn exile Nick DC (both pictured here), who helps run Emotive Records along with Finn and Tom L.

'Never Think' sets the tone for which the title stands - a steamy, muted club disco cut with subterranean basslines, filtered vocal samples, and a layer of classy percussion which rides over the top - free in style. The record's classic house aesthetics have already received praise from key figures such as the one and only Laurent Garnier, Studio Barnhus's Axel Boman, French electronica chess-master Agoria, and Brooklyn house-scene don Jacques Renault.

Year 1990, Benoit Alias Beuns became a musician inside the band “La Roberto Family” (Funk/Soul/Groove). He was the band keyboard; it’s where he learns the basis of composition and team work. After a few gigs the band is dissolve. As soon as possible he reconstitute another band call “Numba Wan” which is influenced by Reggae and Dub. The band will last until 1994. It’s at that wime that Beuns discover the Madness of Raves in Paris.
He encounter Popof and the Heretiks in 1996, they start to work on drum machines and synthetizer.

In 1997, he’s playing his first live set in “ Le Printemps de Bourges” and released his first record soon after. Since then he’s producing regularly a series of Lps, more than 35 maxis and 3 album on Cds with the Heretiks system and one solo album call “ The Synth Project”.

Nowadays, Beuns change is artist name to Electrobugz and start playing pure sounds between dirty electro and techno.

In Addition of his musical productions, he spread his stunning and powerfull music in Raves and clubs, making dance floors going nuts all around the world.

(China, Venezuela, Canada, Italy, UK, Polka, turkey, Austria, Spain, Lebanon, Czech Republic …To name a few)

He plays along side of the biggest names such as:Joey Beltram, Busy P, Justice, Adam Beyer, Valentino Kanzyani, Pet duo, Patrick Lindsey, Technasia and Chris Liberator … To name a few.

His Music, his live sets, is between effective electro, powerfull techno and smashing hardfloor, which had make dance a full generation.
