Amsterdam’s Moving Into Tucson has become known for their relentless creative output. But even they sometimes manage to surprise themselves. Over the course of just two years, the band has released no less than 17 singles and two full-length albums. With that kind of pace, it’s inevitable that some tracks get left behind, songs that were written, recorded, but ultimately didn’t make the final cut. Not because they weren’t good enough, but simply because the band had too much to choose from.

Now that the dust has settled after the release of People Of The World, the band—together with their label—took a moment to revisit what they lovingly call “the ball pit.” A collection of tracks that, upon relistening, made them stop and say, “Wait, how did we miss this one?” The result? Gems Left Behind: seven songs that deserve to be heard.

Think of it as a bonus, an unexpected encore. A closing chapter that stands strong on its own.
