This is the live recording of my set at The Warm Slug @ The Borderland, Sweden's regional burn. 

It was a super late one. I walked into an empty tent with the decks covered, speakers and lights off but there was still the remnants of a fire in the middle. I messaged the DJ group asking if it was okay if I did my set even though no one was there and they'd closed down for whatever reason. No response. 

I checked the decks and they had power, so I stuck in my USB and chucked on a tune. A few curious heads poked in, so I recruited them to figure out how to turn on the lights and asked them to tend to the fire. The XZ ended up going into an emergency loop a few minutes in, so I apologized to the two or three people that were there helping and started over. Hit record, and this is what came of it! 

It's a bit of a rehash of part of a set I played at The Hookah Dome at Burning Man 2023, and the set I prepared for Burning Nest in 2025 that got me selected by two camps at The Borderland this year. 

It was one of the first times I truly felt no anxiety or fear at the start of my set. Afterall, you can't clear an empty room, and by the end I'd gathered a crowd of nearly 30 between 4:30 and 6:15ish AM from nothing but embers in a dark tent. 

This was my first set of two sets that week. Can't wait to get the recording of the other one! (It's a bit more polished than this one, but likely not going to have the #chill tag).
