YOU LOVE HER - Softer Cell (DXXDLY Remix)

Originally released by French tastemaker label Kitsune in 2008, YOU LOVE HER's debut EP Inner City Angst captured the raw, urgent energy of a new wave of UK electronic artists tearing up the rulebook. This reissue brings the cult-favourite EP to CD format for the first time, complete with restored artwork and liner notes. Fronted by breakout single "Superheroes", which NME hailed as a "Recommended Download", the EP fuses distorted electro-punk, glitchy beats, and synth-driven chaos with a dark pop sensibility. The EP became a sonic staple for a generation seeking something more visceral. Inner City Angst cemented its underground legacy when "Superheroes" was featured in Episode 7, Series 3 of the cult E4 drama Skins, soundtracking one of the show's most pivotal and emotionally charged scenes. YOU LOVE HER & Vandalism unveil 'Casket' (released 19th Sept 2025), a brooding new single created with Vandalism. Driven by Jay Merrifield’s (YOU LOVE HER) unmistakable vocal and production, Casket merges YOU LOVE HER's Electroclash signature sound with a somewhat goth-edge on Casket with Vandalism's grinding bass line and complimenting spooky atmospheric verse lead, delivering an underground alt-club spooky banger. Lyrically, the vocal delivered by Jay (YOU LOVE HER) wrestles with vampiric forces, painting the world as a battleground between creation and exploitation. The refrain “That's this world, living in a casket” & “I almost lost my life to a vampire girl” captures the tension of fighting to survive in a world where you sometimes feel you are already dead, and struggling to preserve your light in a seductive culture eager to consume it. Released via Kurate, a UK record label recently spotlighted for the high profile collaboration between Øneheart & Moby, the single reinforces the labels role as a tastemaker in forward thinking electronic music. YOU LOVE HER, previously known from the Maison Kitsuné compilations and TVs SKINS, continues to evolve with a sharpened vision, while Vandalism solidifies his place as one of Kurate's rising forces, bringing spooky texture to compliment YOU LOVE HER's stabbing synths.

Arkatronix - Violent Storms

Formed in 2011, German/Swiss duo Electronic Deer quickly made a name for itself on the underground electropunk scene, a small but tight-knit circle. Comprised of Lukas Raab and Raffaele Zompicchiatti, the young electronic musicians have since started to draw in a more diverse crowd throughout the UK and Europe. With song titles like "Hipster Hunt" and "R.A.D," and a style that effortlessly melds the danceability of electronic music and the agression of punk, it's easy to see Electronic Deer only continuing to pick up fans with each live show. Their debut album "Hipster Hunt" is going to be released on Glasstone Records (UK) in Spring 2012. Unfortunately did Lukas leave the duo in early 2012, leaving both focus on their solo projects.
