Here We Are sets the tone. Melodic synths, metronomic kick-drum and a bass-heavy pulse fires the listener into orbit. With its effortlessly flowing and progressive build, the track wraps us in warming atmospherics as we embark on the voyage.
Moviment delivers a delicate touch, with cascading harmonies and an irresistible hook garnishing a bassline that simmers away beneath the beauty.

They drop the killer 'Crystal Ball Visions' EP on Kri Records, presenting warm and punchy analog beats spiced with haunting melodies and sinister pads. Sturdy EBM-ish, dark italo and wave production is cushioned with Adrian's mysterious vocals adding yet another layer to a diverse EP accompanied by two heavy-weight remixes. "Magic Fantasia" is reimagined as a dirty electro firecracker by Chupacabras (L.I.E.S.) while "Panoramix Forest" is transformed into a
commanding EBM march by Chino (Pinkman). Think of Dario Argento walking into a dark club at 3 AM...

Rafael Cohen aka Los Latidos was born in Mexico City to Guatemalan parents. He grew up in the DC punk scene, and released records on Dischord and Touch and Go. He has also played and recorded with jazz legend Anthony Braxton. 

Currently he tours the world and writes songs as a member of Warp Records mainstays !!! and has written and recorded a collection of more intimate songs in Spanish under the name Las Palabras.

This is his second release as Los Latidos and his first for Throne of Blood. His previous release, on Jun Records was described as “a feast of acid squelches, breakbeats and house kicks” by Resident Advisor. “Please Believe Me” is built on the same foundations but expands the palate somewhat with acoustic guitars and field recordings. 

The vibe is warm and hypnotic, recalling the breezy vibes of old school Throne of Blood artists Cosmic Kids. With three jams that range from low slung acid grooves to gently jacking house underpinned by a hands in the air bassline, Los Latidos has delivered a soundtrack to summer dusks and dawns.

All tracks mixed and mastered by the one and only Justin Vandervolgen.

The EP ends with “A Blink of Hope into the Fog” and that’s exactly what it sounds like. A feel-good ambient piece which is the perfect conclusion to this EP.
