We welcomed our first edition of this year with great excitement.
We are very well acquainted with the Russian music scene and as far as this genre is concerned - organic house, the Russians are at the forefront of the electronic dance music scene.
One of those who joins the flock and debuts on our label is Jenya Miller! However, this is not his first signed release, as his music can be heard on Suprematic and La Mishka, but it is first on The Purr!
The release of "Flowers" consists of two beautiful songs that are largely focused on exactly what we expect and love to hear, the sound we nurture on the label, deep melodic notes and quality groove.

'A legendary figure within the underground dance scene, Savvas has been involved in electronic music for three decades. A veteran of the DJ circuit and a production career dating back to a 2011 debut, the Greek artist has been a familiar sight on the likes of Anjunadeep, The Purr and 3rd Avenue. A trio of remixes for Proton Music have seen reworkings of Erdi Irmak, Rick Pier O'Neil and GMJ as Savvas now releases his debut EP on the label with "Reminisce".

A sonic triumph with a beautiful melodic narrative, the title track lilts enticingly along its 9-minute journey with a delicately flowing lead line. Beautiful piano phrases add to the sonic tapestry as breathy vocal and complementary motifs create a stunning work. A rolling rhythmic groove and deep kick provide the backdrop for "Momentum" to continue the rich melodic atmosphere as free-flowing lines and subtly plucked guitar themes resonate gently. Through a beautiful combination of counterpoint phrasing the track oozes class and craftsmanship. Characterised by a glorious broken beat rhythm, "Reflections" harkens back to a bygone era of progressive breaks as sublime melodies flow, juxtaposed to a chunky rolling cadence. Full of delicate touches that evolve and blossom over the 6-minute piece, the track hypnotises with a repetitive sonic beauty that culminates in a powerful woodwind sequence post breakdown.'

Madloch's Sound Avenue enters 2022's second quarter by welcoming Jean Calliou back to the label for a new EP. First emerging in 2016, the Swiss artist quickly established himself with releases via Magician On Duty, RYNTH, Sag & Tre and Underyourskin Records, where his deep, melodious sound flourished. Moving forward, July of 2019 saw the Zurich resident make his Sound Avenue debut with a well-received remix of Joe Miller's ‘The Days'. Deep and enchanting in equal measure, its organic vibe immediately won over DJs and fans alike, sparking what has been a fruitful relationship between the Belgian imprint and Swiss artist. Now on the strength of 2021's ‘Departure Unknown', Jean makes a welcome return to Sound Avenue with a sprawling five-track showcase entitled ‘Simplon'.

The deliberate groove and haunting vocal phrases of ‘Down' find Jean at his creative best. Perhaps less direct than some of his previous work, the end result is one of equal depth, where notes ring out in timeless suspension, resonating against a backdrop of colourful electronics.

Iranian DJ and producer, currently stationed in Costa Rica, Hassan Maroofi, has been making music for a little over 18 years, and he entered the waters of music production about two years ago. His musical style varies, from a club progressive sound to a calm tempo of organic house music.
We are extremely pleased to present to you his debut release signed for The Purr and which bears the symbolic name "Optimism"!
His original was accompanied by two remixes, one of which was in charge of Dio S, and the other was a collaboration between Simone Glad and Jelly For The Babies!
An exceptional release and a real pack for all lovers of summer organic house sound!
