Lopez marches Eastwards with the brooding Berlin Doesn’t Like You. A miasma of shadowy techno, spacious and haunting, with a persistent “Don’t forget to sleep” refrain. This is smooth, heavy delivery techno for late night peak hours. The Day I Die belies its doomy title to unfurl into a groovy refrain that swaggers confidently across the tech house and deep house borders.

Aufgewachsen mit dem Sound der 80er Jahre erkannte er schon früh den Hang zur elektroni- schen Musik, wobei Künstler und Bands wie Jan Hammer oder Kraftwerk zu den Wegbegleitern gehörten. Die Leidenschaft für House und elektronische Sounds wie auch dem Mixen und Auf- legen führten neben diversen eigenen Partyreihen in seinem Geburtsort Göttingen zu Gigs in verschiedenen Clubs im Bundesgebiet wie z.B., dem Sonne Mond und Sterne Festival (DJ Con- test), der Juicy Beats, als Resident DJ des Clubs „Electroosho“, dem Kölner Warehouse sowie als Organisator, Moderator und Resident zur Radiosendung „Kingz of Beat“ des freien Radios Kassel aus dem legendären Stammheimgebäude. Nach einer Auszeit ist er seit dem Jahr 2009 unter dem Namen „Herr Oppermann“ wieder regelmäßig in Hamburg und dem Bundesgebiet ak- tiv – u. a als Teil des Hamburger Plattenlabels „Tach & Nacht“ sowie der „Rappelkiste Hamburg“.
Stets dem „schwarzen Gold“ treu geblieben, versteht er es, die analoge und digitale Technik zu kombinieren und klassische mit modernen – minimalen Elementen zu verbinden. Sein Stil folgt dem Motto „bunt gewürfelt, aber immer House“ und variiert dabei zwischen deepen und minima- listischen Elementen bis hin zu Tech - House. Mehr als 20 Jahre hinter den Plattentellern und sein Motto „House is a feeling“ machen jedes seiner Sets zu einer Soundreise mit viel Abwechs-
lung!
