Bio - DXXXV, a roman numeral preceded by the letter D, is the acronym for ' 35th damned .

The project, founded by Fabio De Martino, was born in London between the building in Old Street.

Inspired by a techno sound base, dark and melodic... Became Mystic .. able to evoking feelings..states of being!

Once back in Napoli (South Italy), his home town, Fabio starts to work about the project and he manages to get a release on a Varius on the label 'Wood' with the track: 'Persephony'.

Many years of experiences spent between Germany and UK, before with the 'Ross & Dema' project and than with Dark skies, made  possible the growth of this artist, and the discovery of the type of music that best expresses his art.

Not content with just mixing tracks, they take things to the next level by re-editing music on the fly during a DJ set. Using loops, samples, and drum machines to add an impromptu twist that combines a layer of musicianship to make each live performance totally unique. The guys have played all over the world and soak up musical culture in every country they visit.

About:
"Avalanche" is a steady fast-paced minimalist rhythm monster. It is stripped down to the essentials and made to play for DJs. It does feature nice interfering sounds that speak the language of self made and recorded sound, maybe even done with the microphone. The sound-design alternates between distorted and clean sounds and through a constant shifting of elements creates that nervous energy which is so essential for techno tracks. Halfway down the stretch there are synth stabs suddenly appearing without a warning, providing the track with a 90ies rave signal.

Second seasonal Ep for prolific Italian Dj and music producer Eleven Of July, “Dust in the Wind” is packed with energy, showcasing one more time his ability to build intricate melodies, grooving drum elements and suspenseful break downs. 

Opening track “A Secret Place to Hide” is a  definition of precision, power and elegance. We don’t know if that “secret place” would be some underground club, but the rhythmic synths, sitting on the heavy drive of the low end, would surely move every dance floor. 

Title track “Dust the Wind” explores the romantic side that Eleven Of July’ fans are certainly used to. Accompanied by a memorable synths work and dreamy choirs, it proceeds with a touch of nostalgic feel that encourage us to know more about the story behind the notes.

About the artist
Eleven Of July is the musical project of an eclectic dj / live performer, music composer/producer and remixer from Rome, Italy.

By favouring the vinyl’s warmth, Eleven Of July expresses his art through both dreamy and magnetically dark melodies. Performing already in different European countries and in front of big crowds of cities like Rome and Berlin, Eleven Of July exported his sound signature overseas, performing in Thailand and in the most underground clubs of Bangkok. 

Beside his recognized talent behind the decks, in 2017 his project as a music producer took off, making immediate buzz, with releases on top labels such as Suah, KDB, Natura Viva, Natura Viva Black, Awen Records, Wood, Black Square, Kitchen, Dear Deer and many others, reaching several times the Beatport top Charts.

Renaissance Radio #012 - Electronica Showcase Part 1 (Sneak Peek)

Hinter dem BergWacht-Duo FnT stecken Dennis, 1989 in Köln geboren und im Oberbergischen Lindlar aufgewachsen, und Jens, der 1985 in Zell an der Mosel das Licht der Welt erblickte und ebenfalls im Oberbergischen aufwuchs. Beide zog es 2012 in die Domstadt und in eine gemeinsame WG.

Die beiden haben nicht nur einen Podcast für uns zusammengestellt, sondern auch Rede und Antwort gestanden.

1. Welche Musikrichtung hatte den größten Einfluss auf euch und was verbindet ihr mit Musik?
Alles an Musik mit ihren unterschiedlichen Richtungen hatte auf seine Art und Weise Einfluss. Um ein paar Künstler zu nennen: Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Sven Väth, Boogie Pimps, Anthony Rother, Justin Berkovi, Liho, Adam Beyer. Mit Musik verbinden wir Gefühle, Emotionen, Erinnerungen. Musik ist immer da, egal ob man gut oder schlecht drauf ist. Sie bietet dir jegliche Option und funktioniert auch mal als Ventil .

2. Wie hat euch die elektronische Musik gepackt?
Dennis: Bevor ich volljährig war, haben mich Clubs schon immer angezogen, somit waren die ersten Clubbesuche mit Freunden nur eine Frage der Zeit und somit auch die ersten Begegnungen mit elektronischer Musik: z.B in der Papierfabrik oder dem Odonien, auch im Airport in Würzburg war ich häufig.

Jens: Durch meinen Bruder Sven, BergWacht-Resident und Teil des Duos Tool8, und meinen Freund Liho, bei dem ich seit der ersten Minute seiner Karriere als DJ und Veranstalter der BergWacht dabei war. Clubbesuche mit allem drum und dran lagen dann natürlich nah.    

3. Wie seid ihr vom „Raverdasein“ zum Auflegen gekommen?
Jens wollte eigentlich nie Auflegen, sondern lieber Tanzen. Dennis hat sich immer schon auch für das Technische und das Handwerk dahinter interessiert. 2012 haben wir dann gemeinsam die ersten Versuche gewagt und uns, wie in vielen Dingen, super ergänzt. 

4. Wie würdet ihr euren Sound beschreiben? 
Frech-verspielter und melodisch-treibender Techno, der auf dem Dancefloor einfach Spaß macht und straight und dynamisch ist!

5. Was war euer bisheriges musikalisches Highlight? 
Fettester Gig: Parquet Label Night im Artheater.
Party-Highlight: DEFINITIV!!!: Der 50. Geburtstag  von Sven Väth.

6. Wie geht es euch mit dieser „clubfreien“ Zeit?
Wat muss dat muss. Es könnte uns persönlich schlimmer gehen. Wir vermissen natürlich die Nächte im Club, egal ob vor oder hinter dem Pult wie Sau, aber da müssen wir nun durch, zum Wohle der Allgemeinheit. Bleibt als bitte alle gesund und geduldig!

From the dancefloor to the dj-booth, Vabu literally kickstarted into Hamburg’s Techno scene over the past four years. After collecting first dj experiences at Bollwerk in her hometown Lübeck, she soon got involved with her crew ‚Harmonie im Bassgewitter‘ and played her first official gigs. While playing throughout the clubs in Hamburg, she was quickly booked for venues in Berlin, Hannover, Kiel & Muenster as well as for festivals like Habitat, Feel Festival, Bachblyten & Dunkle Vorahnung. She also had two asian tours in april 2019 and february 2020. Vabu got her first release at Black 5 years of Jannowitz Records in Dec 2019 called ‚Assortative‘.

Never loose focus while the pandamic, Vabu is looking forward to finally inspiring you with her music in the future!
