Following Kingdom of Shadows, Obá Mystik presents Ashes & Shadows, the second chapter in a four-part Afro House epic. This project is the brainchild of Erikk Raphael and is released under Respawn Detroit Records (RDR). The album dives into the history and legacy of slavery — from capture and the Middle Passage to bondage, punishment, escape, and ultimate triumph.

Across 13 tracks, Obá Mystik blends Afro House, Delta Blues, Gospel House, and Tribal House into a sonic story of pain, survival, and celebration. Featured guest Elijah “Graveyard” Moore brings a cracked Delta blues voice to the story, while the River Jordan Choir raises the finale into a triumphant gospel explosion.

This project is Afrocentric music at its core — ancestral rhythms, storytelling through sound, and spiritual energy translated for the modern dancefloor. Perfect for fans of Afro House, Deep House, Tribal, Spiritual House, Delta Blues fusion, and Afro-gospel electronic music.
