Hailing from the birthplace of Techno, Detroit, Rachael's journey into electronic music is rooted in her upbringing, steeped in the rich sounds of the Detroit and Chicago electronic music scene. Now calling Los Angeles, California home, Rachspace continues to explore and expand her distinctive music journey. Rachael's love affair with electronic music began at a young age, inspired by her father's constant playlists of techno and trance. This early exposure planted the seeds for her deep connection to music, a passion that has grown into an immersive artistic journey. Her music is not just about rhythm and beats; it's about crafting an emotional journey that transcends traditional genre boundaries.

In her sets, Rachael effortlessly weaves together Deep House, House, Minimal, and Deep Tech, curating music that connects with the listeners' energy and atmosphere. She describes her sets as a “flowy mix” that adapts to the environment and audience, transporting listeners on a captivating sonic adventure. She has graced the decks in clubs across Los Angeles and San Diego, and while she's yet to take the stage at a festival, her reputation is steadily growing. Her influences span legends from the Detroit scene like Stacey Pullen and Delano Smith, to present-day artists such as Yokoo, Silat Beski, Traumer, Chad Andrew, Haider Uppal, and Zone+. These artists have shaped her sound, providing inspiration and fueling her passion for creating music that resonates with both heart and mind.

As a resident artist on the Chicago x Detroit Collective label, Transit Station, Rachspace makes waves with her unique curation. Her recent features include appearances on Voices Radio, London and Mantissa Label, showcasing her talent to a global audience. With upcoming releases on The Inner Child Podcast from Quebec and Satya in November, Rachspace is poised to make an even bigger impact on the electronic music scene. Rachael invites her listeners on a musical journey, crafting an experience that starts with groovy, melodic vibes and crescendos into high-energy euphoria. Embark on a sun-scorched odyssey across the Northern Sahara borderlands with Ap0the0sis’s debut session, “Saharan Pulse.” Rooted in Tuareg caravan routes and Sahel oasis rituals, this journey fuses tribal percussion and hypnotic house, weaving together:

Vocal Textures: Call-and-response chants in Tamasheq layered with Swahili cadences, punctuated by breath-driven shouts and visceral “ah-ha” exclamations, and sacred tokens—“Azawad,” “Nguvu,” “Mawazo”—echoing like mantras.

Instrumental Foundations: Djembe and darbuka grooves lock in with shakers and kavalo rattles, while kalimba plucks dance atop an electric bass sub-thump. Shimmering synth pads and field recordings of wind-swept sand expand the sonic horizon, with tin drum accents and pedal-steel overtones adding haunting depth.

Tempo & Mood: Clocking in at 120–125 BPM, each track drives forward with tribal momentum and trance-walking energy, conjuring the heat and vastness of rolling dunes under a crimson sunset.

Visual Vibe: Imagine nomadic tents glowing by lantern light, swirling sand vortices etched against the sky, and the silhouettes of Tuareg riders drifting across the horizon—transposed into an organic house landscape made for global dancefloors and starlit desert raves.

From deep Afro-House roots to desert techno expanses, “Saharan Pulse” is an immersive blend of ethnic vocals, percussion layers, and Saharan synthscapes that transports you to a starlit festival beneath the endless dunes. Let the sandstorm energy carry you into the heart of the Sahara—and beyond.

Across four ambient-electronic pieces (Signal Fade, Serenity, Tranquility, Halo Fade), the duo weaves analog textures, slow-motion rhythms, and ethereal vocal fragments into a soundscape suspended between gravity and light.

Each track explores a different shade of stillness: from the decaying pulse of fading transmissions to mantra-like calm and radiant inner drift.
