~ Marc Brauner [Germany] ~

The Berliner Marc Brauner has been positively shaking the house music scene over the past years with releases on excellent labels such as Shall Not Fade or Houseum Records. Kicking off his stuttering musical career playing drums at the age of 5 and practicing in a percussion band for 8 years, he discovered the house music territory back in 2009. As a producer, Marc finds his anchor point into classic, melodic and captivating deep house with a tad of fulminating breakbeat notes. He is always going off the beaten tracks: from producing jams for luxury brands like Jil Sander or L’Oreal to co-founding the live acid and tech house project Traffic Report, by way of co-creating the collective “We Change The Weather“ that organized gigs in Bremen. In 2019, the release of his well-known “Sad But Amibitious” EP on the Houseum channel has fast-tracked his career and, the year after, he was lauching his own deep house label Nostalgics together with the man Tender Games. All those projects proved his musical variety and beautifully cross-fertilized, resulting in Marc being heavily featured lately in Berlin as well as across other European cities in renowned clubs like Rex, Wilde Renate or Sisyphos.

As expected from him, he has concocted for us a pumping hour of house, deep house and acid grooves from Cinthie, no_4mat or Chriss Stussy. This is the perfect treat to get in the mood before the reopening of clubs in lots of countries next week.

Hugo Horwood (Holo himself) is originally from Melbourne and recently moved to Berlin. His music draws from unexpected genres, including pop, classic rock, acid and 90s hip hop, to create a sound that is truly his own.

The Australian producer burst onto the scene in 2019 after seeing his first track 'Atlas' uploaded on the Houseum YouTube channel and after releasing his debut EP of the same name, with house music heavyweight UK label Shall Not Fade’s sub-label Lost Palms. The EP featured the deep house classic ‘In My Dreams’ that earned over 3 million streams on Houseum channel.

Hugo recently released two EPs on Houseum Records' sub-label Ellipse Records and on Noire & Blanche (Délicieuse Musique). He will play his first gig in Paris this month in September 2022 at La Java alongside Gavinco and HSM (Houseum). An album is in the pipeline on Houseum Records, stay tuned!

circa 1996 release Fade (Kolo/Fortier) - Heaven to Heaven on Fade Records.  This was our 4th single as Fade and 4th release on the label.  this track, especially the breakdown, was inspired by Sasha gig at The Firestone in 1995.  Remembering standing on the balcony of The Firestone overlooking the dancefloor, late in the his set and we watch the dancefloor what seemed like at the time to pulse.  at one point, I turned to Neil and said how it was like the dancefloor was a heartbeat and Sasha was  controlling the heartbeat with each new record.  We took that visualization into the studio the following week to craft the original, later named for that special moment the "7am Firestone Mix" from which it was born.  See if you can hear the heartbeat?  We would later go back and o make the "Delta Dub" which was played alot by Sasha and John at the time too.  We made this dub in an one all night session starting at 11pm and finishing about 6am the next day.  We had to complete like this because we had just been asked by Guy Ornadel to remix Future Force "What You Want" for DMC and had to start the next day. Back then, we only had an Atari 1040st computer, no hard disc recorders, no studio/mixer recall.  So any project you were on, you had to fully finish before going onto the next production.  We were stoked to get the dub done overnight and I still think it sounds great still today pitched down!
