So just enjoy my first remix project of 2017, it's been a great year so far with me upgrading my operation from a small just laptop production to a mini bedroom converted to an untreated studio :v
It's been a long time since i finished "hardstyle" song (the last time is actually the "Intensity of UAS" with Comrade) and it's also my first time of doing hardstyle as a full remix. Cheers to Sara Farell and Simon Samaeng for making a great cover there. I used a cover version for this remix cause i see nothing wrong remixing a cover there, but if there's any objection please contact me and we'll discuss about it.

It's been 2+ years since i post anything, so i want to start with something simpler. This is a mashup of mashups of remakes from mainly Porter Robinson's work. It's no secret that ever since 'Shelter' is out, he has become one of my favourite artist. His music is good and inspirational, not to mention he has vast numbers of fans and a dedicated one. His sets and performance is so beautiful till he has fans who are willing to remake his entire tour setlist.

This mashup derives from:
- Porter Robinson & Madeon - Technicolor x Divinity x Innocence (Shelter Remake)
- Porter Robinson x Yanagi Nagi -  Divinity x Harumodoki (EO's Porter Robinson AX2015 Remake)

and a little bit of Porter Robinson - Sad Machine

I want to state all the tracks above are belong to their respective owner. I'm sorry i had to leave the first 30 second here without any sound, if i didn't do it this mashup wouldn't be here. I also made the cover art. I can't draw anime girls so i traced 'em instead and make some slight adjusment such as simpler colouring.

Spring in Sheltered Divinity: a Porter Robinson Tribute

As promised, i tried to cover a song called "Is There Still Anything That Love Can Do" by RADWIMPS. This is one of the lead song on anime movie called "Weathering With You" by Makoto Shinkai and his team. I love the movie and i love the song, although soundtrack-wise, "Your Name" has better soundtrack than this movie. I did cut some parts because i'm bored and tired (those parts are quite repetitive) and I'm sorry for slight mistake in the middle. If needed and there are enough demand, maybe i'll consider to rerecord a more perfect version.

RADWIMPS - Is There Still Anything That Love Can Do (fingerstyle cover)

My remix of "Lose You to Love Me" by Selena Gomez.

I don't really like the original song because it's so sad and boring, but Selena made the song because she is sad, so it is what it is. Still, i'm glad she's finally back making music.

I'm in the verge of giving up making music these days because i'm quite busy, but upon hearing the song, i decided to go ahead and trying to figure out what should i do with the song. Should i cover it? or remix it like i did in the old days? And i did the later one.

After showing the rough draft of the remix and getting positive feedbacks from several friends of mine, i ended up working continuously to finish it. Two days later, it's done and it's here :)

To be fair i can't really describe what genre is this remix, except just generally saying it's an EDM. It is 128 BPM and has a basic structure like many Progressive House song, but i use trance arps. The pianos are sounded like typical trance piano too with octave-y feeling. I also used a bass which featured in some future bass songs. Lastly, the solo guitar, boomy gated reverb snares, and breathy pluck makes it sounds a little bit retro and rock too. I can't imagine how those combination could actually work, but it ends up amazing.

Seems the future of my music life is shining brightly again :)

Selena Gomez - Lose You To Love Me (electronivist remix)

Semi-acoustic cover of Ultraman Cosmos' OST called Something You Can Do featuring my buddy Kelvin. It was created last year somewhere in the short semester break before the actual semester starts i think. We decided to make a cover of a song but doesn't really know what to cover. Then our "Japanese" advisor, Cleon Christopher steps up and suggest this song while providing assistance to both me and kelvin on how to pronounce japanese. The cover is way different with the original song, as we intend to make ultraman sounds mellow. It's my first time doing such style of cover but i'm pleased with the result. Happy times :)

Hardstyle with a sprinkle of orchestra remix in the middle :) I love Porter Robinson so much and doing some crazy experiment like these. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but it is really a fun one for sure.  Sorry about the vocal quality, i spend nights trying to fix it to no avail. Okay this is second Porter Robinson related thing i've posted in a week, i promise it would be the last. But this one's felt more special, i performed this live on Seycara himself and other participants for the first talent show of his Discord. Although i didn't win, i really enjoy the goosebumps of performing live in front of many people again. Ps: I'm using machiro alias on discord so they call me machiro instead. And please pardon the audio quality. It's recorded via discord lol.
