Saw a couple of ideas with other smaller edits and thought I could make something more complete with all of them. Stripped them down, pitched the vocals as necessary and came out with this, melding the early 2000s angst with todays for one big ole SadBoi edit. Hope you all like it.

Xim - What We Once Were

I originally started toying with the thought of electronic music back in late 2012. As a gigging bass guitarist originally for 4 years prior to the thought, I was originally introduced to D&B and then dubstep. Dubstep really introduced me into heavier bass music, which I really enjoyed, but I have always had a true enjoyment for melodic, "pretty" sounds. When I started writing, it was truly a different world of musical creativity that I had never experienced, and with every song I write I continuously push my own creativity. Electronic music has been a fantastic way for me to express myself and I get a complete sense of accomplishment and excitement every time I write a new song. I love the feeling of being able to emote through my music and the complexity of the sounds that dubstep brings to my music. I particularly enjoy writing melodic pieces which brings together a lot of the elements I'm used to and the new elements of electronica that I love.
