Witch Hunt - The Torturing Remix

A strange dynamic and dramatic tune I wrote in Reason a few years back, Piano, Cello, Viola, etc, along with big synth sounds and gritty beats.

Oversaturated Feeling

A slow heavy track with lots of fuzz and heavy synths. Instruments used:
- Squire VM Jaguar for the clean surf guitar sound using starve and all the fuzz parts
- Fender Strat with J-Rail humbucker for distorted rock guitar sounds
- Solo guitar was a Fender AVRI Jazzmaster
- All bass parts are with a Fender Bass VI
- All synth and drums are produced in Reason

Here is a quick and dirty track using a FutureRetro777 analog synth/sequencer. The 777 is an acid machine, a modern version of the 303 that goes dirtier and more crazy than the original. 

All the synth parts are the 777. Drums were created in Reason.

Acidbezerkertripleseven

A track I created with hardware only. Used A Korg EMX and a FutureRetro 777 synced via MIDI. All the FutureRetro knobs are tweaked live during recording. This tracks starts out very old school Acid, but then adds some modern dub-step flavor.

Drums, Dub-step (wobble) synths are from the EMX, the acid/303 bassline is from the FutureRetro 777. Both were in song mode so pattern changes could be programmed.

ElectroFornicator

Experiment using triplets and heavy baritone guitars. 108bpm. Instruments used - Fender Bass VI for bass through a Zen drive and compressor. Hand made Baritone Jazzmaster for all guitars tuned A to A. Through marshall style distortion in one track, fuzz in another. Leads were with OCD pushing marshall style distortion with lots of delay and an old 70s Morley power wah.

Triplet Metal Test #3

Experimenting with production of heavy metal with triplets on guitar and drums. 82bpm, drums programmed in Reason using a Kong instrument. Stringed Instruments used in the recording are, a hand made baritone guitar tuned A to A and a Fender Bass VI for the bass parts. Direct recorded using pedals and speaker simulation.

Triplet Metal Test #4

Another Heavy Metal test, practicing writing metal drums and guitars. This one is 102 bpm and has a triplet feel. Both a barritone guitar (tuned A to A) and an Jazzmaster/telecaster (telemaster) used tuned down to D for some leads and wah parts.

Another experiment with metal guitars, been practicing this triplet chug pattern a lot. Tossed on some metalstep/dubstep synths and drums. Came out pretty cool

I play guitar, bass and keyboards, as well as programming, engineering and producing music. Styles I write would be considered, rock, psychedelic, metal, industrial, electronic, big beat, breakbeat, acid, techno and others... I really don't like strict genres and constantly try and merge them together.
