As Deadmau5 embarks upon the Meowingtons Hax North American tour alongside a host of the Mau5trap stable, the label head leads the charge with a brand new compilation. It features new and exclusive tracks from Deadmau5 himself and a host of the artists featuring on the tour, as well as a selection of tracks from new additions to the label that you can expect to hear a lot more from in the coming months. With contributions from Feed Me, Tommy Lee & Aero, Excision & Datsik, Zedd, Moguai, Al Bizzare and James Njie, this compilation is set to be the soundtrack to the tour carnage that will undoubtedly ensue. Opening with the insistent, driving powerhouse that is Where My Keys, an exclusive track from Deadmau5 himself, the ghcompilation goes straight for the jugular. Moving through the jarring Cotts Face by Feed Me which fuses together glitchy drums and erratic synth lines and onto recent tour additions Tommy Lee & Aero the compilation doesnt hold up for a second as they deliver two fidgety electro house party starting tracks. Excision & Datsik turn up the heat with Deviance as grinding beats and growling basslines meet extra-terrestrial synth lines, proving once again why their star is most definitely in the ascendant. Zedds remix of Skrillex smash Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites channels the power of the original into a filthy 4x4 monster while Moguais Beat of The Drum surges forward on the elastic synths and rolling bass line with Sofi delivering her vocals with attitude.Upcoming Mau5trap artists Al Bizzare and James Njie also feature on the compilation. Al Bizzare brings Blast Wave to the table, a many-headed beast that switches up glistening synths and swelling bass and is in turns both euphoric and gritty. Rising talent James Njie rounds off the compilation in style, introducing himself with two futuristic progressive house tracks that are at once delicately nuanced and full of impact, speaking volumes of his talent. Mau5trap has grown exponentially since its inception in 2007 and become home to some of the most exciting electronic artists in the world. The new compilation features just some of the talent that the label champions and offers up a decisive musical statement whether you are going to the upcoming tour or not. To celebrate the release of the compilation, the Beatport version will come with selected track parts available for digital DJs giving them the chance to get creative. *The Meowingtons Hax tour runs from 11th August to 5th November, starting in Vancouver and ending in Toronto.

About Wolfgang Gartner:
The most commercial alias for Joey Youngman - the DJ and Dance producer who also recorded as Bosco & Terell, Count Funkula, Frequent Flyers, Mario Fabriani, and Spyro Pappadopoulos, not to mention monikers for his several collaborative projects - Wolfgang Gartner functions as an outlet for his active and noise-packed electro-house productions, which contrasted greatly with his more sophisticated and “tasteful” deep house releases. Youngman didn’t reveal that he was behind Wolfgang Gartner until 2008, once the alias gathered steam in clubs around the world. From 2007 through 2011, there were nearly a dozen Gartner 12’’ releases, along with remixes of tracks by Tiësto, MSTRKFRT and Britney Spears. The eventual release of a compilation album, Back Story, helped fill in the story.

In September 2011, Youngman released the first Wolfgang Gartner album, Weekend In America (Ultra), which allowed him to indulge in his love for rap music by roping guest appearances from Cam’ron, Jim Jones, will.i.am, and Eve, along with R&B vocalist Omarion. Additional singles on Ultra followed over the next several years, leading up to his second proper album, 10 Ways to Steal Home Plate, in 2016. Released on Gartner’s own Kindergarten label, it featured Wiley and Trina on the single “Turn Up.” He issued a handful of singles in 2018, including the club favorite “Ching Ching”, “Freak”, and “The Upside Down”, leading up to the release of his EP Medicine later that year. 2020 proved to be an even busier year for Youngman, releasing his latest EP Tucson in July, followed by two singles, Electric Soul and Battlestations, the latter featuring DJ and producer Kill The Noise. As he gears up for an eventful 2021, one thing is for certain - Youngman is back, and better than ever.

Nella meravigliosa cornice del Parco San Giuliano di Venezia si alterneranno i nomi di spicco della scena internazionale in un’intera giornata dedicata all’elettronica dance. Electro-Venice 2011 vedrà protagonisti artisti provenienti da tutto il mondo in grado di attirare migliaia di persone alle loro serate.
Headliner di questa edizione sarà Fatboy Slim, il re indiscusso del ritmo che ha trasformato il suo mixaggio in un personalissimo marchio di fabbrica. Il suo stile musicale, definito tra gli altri big beat, sarà il protagonista di una serata tutta da ballare.
Ma non è finita qui! Sull’ Alfa Mito Stage di Electro-Venice 2011 si avvicenderanno i maggiori esponenti del panorama mondiale electro-house: dal Canada arriverà Deadmau5, dj e produttore considerato l’erede dei Daft Punk. Si esibirà in un live show in esclusiva per Electro-Venice. 
Ad infiammare il parco inoltre Afrojack, fenomeno mondiale autore dei migliori remix di star del livello di David Guetta; i Goose, band belga amata dal pubblico e dalla critica per la combinazione tra dance music e attitudine rock e i Reset!, collettivo di 5 deejay milanesi di primo piano che, nati nel 2007, si sono già esibiti nei club più importanti di tutto il mondo. 
Electrovenice 2011: l’unico festival in Italia in grado di far vibrare Parco San Giuliano, che per un’intera giornata sarà il palcoscenico della musica elettronica mondiale.
